Virgo Horoscope (August 23 - September 22)
Mutable Earth. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

It's a roller-coaster of emotion and outer success for you this month, Virgo. Your career path is shining but you may need to make some adjustments along the way. Your plans are likely to change mid-month with the retrograde of your ruler Mercury, lasting well into July, and you may well develop a more introspective and also more compassionate attitude. Your fellow man or woman is increasingly on your mind these days, as you seek the path of true service to others. One fruitful subject of your meditations over the latter half of the month might be that willing self-sacrifice on your part does not dissolve into mere martyrdom.

As the month begins, a new and more all-inclusive perspective is slowly coming into focus that takes heart-felt service to the surrounding collective more firmly into account. The Full Moon from the last day of May is both energizing and difficult, especially if you were born in late May or early June, or with the middle degrees of Virgo Rising in your chart. You are attempting at this time to handle two opposing sides of life, public and private, as gracefully as possible and without losing traction on either side. Something deep within your soul is calling out for acceptance and acknowledgment as you seek a balance between forging your own totally independent path forward and potentially over-extending yourself for the sake of others around you. These issues may come to a head around the time of the Last Quarter Moon of Friday, June 8th. This powerful configuration provides illuminating surprises, perhaps through partnership concerns relating to important others in your life, and emphasizes the basic challenges of this monthly cycle for you. It is a time of decision and of letting go, and goes better the more willing you are to face up to changing circumstances. The New Moon a week later, taking place on Thursday, June 14th, represents a fresh start in career and public expression, and also a powerful nexus of new energy for change. The dilemma that drives you most at this time concerns finding your path forward in a way that corresponds to your most important spiritual truth, your highest purpose for yourself, in spite of the currents from the consensus that continue to buffet you. You have a good chance to achieve everything that you desire, so long as your desires line up with inner rather than outer priorities. The second half of the month will be a more meditative period of time, as Mercury retrogrades through your sector of wishes and hopes and societal connection. It is best to watch and wait at this time, rather than spring for any radically different future plans. The Summer Solstice of June 21st also catalyzes transformation. The difficult thing about this period of time is that, like it or not, you must change some part of your approach; and that is the good thing about it also.
