Virgo Horoscope (August 23 - September 22)
Mutable Earth. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

You are poised for success in more ways than one, Virgo. This month is in some sense a pressure-packed period of time for you, but in some sense, not. There is a mystical acceptance that is possible in the midst of all your striving. The trick is to set your intention firmly and strongly and then let go of your attachment to the outcome just as passionately as you formerly embraced it. You win when you can take that crucial step backward and simply allow the universe to shower its blessing upon you with its own divine timing, just as it pleases.

As the month begins, you are working with others to achieve the aims that you currently seek for your own life. Since Saturn has been sitting in your first sector of identity now for six months or more, you have been participating in a new take on self-image, self-confidence, overall consciousness and health concerns. There have been several phases, and the final one is about to commence over the next few weeks. Saturn remains in Virgo for two more years, but this beginning period has the greatest intensity for you. If you were born in August there will be less time involved before the most dramatic results are realized, while if in September or with a rising degree late in the sign it will take longer before you are finally out of the woods. Either way, you will remember this period of intense transformation as an important turning point. This month is itself a climactic episode in the cycle for you, and you may find yourself somewhat in confusion in the early going regarding what exactly your vision might be for how to fit yourself into society around you in a way that is consistent with your principles. Partners in your life are insightful about your situation and provide excellent feedback, but your instinct is not to depend too completely on them at this time since it is your own garden that must ultimately be tended. At the time of the New Moon, all these feelings are intensified, as you grapple with the two-fold issue of your sense of your own of transformation and also feelings of deep connections with others in your life who provide a mirror for your process. You are walking a balance beam between these with a potential error that lurks on either side. You do not want to give yourself away at this juncture, when so much depends on knowing just where you and you alone are going, and what are the steps that you need to take in order to get there. On the other hand it is nice to be able to rely on intimate partners, for they provide a matrix in which your seed can germinate. A week afterwards, the First Quarter Moon signals a time when everything that you have been banking on must be tested against the hard-and-fast reality of the concrete world. There is also a pleasant sense of epiphany, partly as a result of the agency of helpful partners, within your environment at this time. You possess as well a real optimism for positive movement, as you journey through a difficult and joyful passage to rebirthing yourself. At the time of the Full Moon that follows one week later, on the weekend of the 19th and 20th, you will know two things for certain: that like the 49ers before you, you are going to get to the figurative gold rush country within your soul or bust, and that it will take a total rearrangement of your current worldview to get you there.
