Virgo Horoscope (August 23 - September 22)
Mutable Earth. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

You are coming into your power this month, Virgo, but slowly. You are the mighty tortoise that eventually wins the race rather then the superficially faster hare. The difficulties of this era and the trials that they represent must be taken into account if you are to actually cross the finish line. During the first two or three weeks of the month you are gathering information for your process and then and only then are you really ready to let your arrow fly. It's not so much a case of damn the torpedoes but of moving adroitly between them and letting their very energy inspire your process.

As the month begins, you are feeling your way into a new accommodation between yourself and the universe that surrounds you. You have been struggling lately under a personally imposed mandate to excel and achieve, and this month takes you into a higher gear, although not for the purpose of more rapid motion. You are slowing down at this time in order that you might examine in detail every facet of your current modus operandi, with an eye toward improving upon your offering. As you go through the current month you may feel as though on the threshing floor, where you are enjoined to separate the wheat from the chaff as far as your ultimate progress is concerned. The New Moon that comes along at the end of the first weekend of the month, early on Monday, May 5th, takes you to yet another level, involving belief system changes in your own best interest, and provides encouragement for your journey of discovery. You may find that changes of perspective, either from travel or from educational ventures, are vital for your process at this time as you reinvent yourself yet again. The First Quarter Moon of May 11th, and the days leading up to it, represent a time of testing and of recaLibration, when you are full of ideas and when a few curve balls may be thrown, perhaps by helpful life partners. This basic instability may straighten out somewhat by the time of the Full Moon of Monday, May 19th, when you will feel perhaps even more pressure to pull yourself through, but when there may be less to question about why you are doing so. Everything that happens at this time provides creative food for thought as you head into the Mercury retrograde period of the last week of the month, when you will find yourself in a far more self-reflective attitude toward the necessary changes in your creative expression that continue for the remainder of the year.
