Virgo Horoscope (August 23 - September 22)
Mutable Earth. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

This is an important and pivotal month for you, Virgo, when nearly everything is up for reassessment and reevaluation. Career initiatives are active as you seriously reflect on your public life priorities and perhaps re-think them. You are entering into a time of great joy and optimism, also potentially of chaos and disruption, as you jump the tracks of previous alliances and ways of thinking about your life path. Another month will see you through to a better understanding of where you're headed. It's ultimately an issue of trust in your powers; you may not know exactly where you are going, but you are certainly going for it, whatever form your journey may eventually take.

As the month begins, you are coming out in style. You are appearing upon the world stage in some important new fashion and yet since your ruler Mercury is retrograding through your career sector as well, you may find yourself looking back on the past for the themes of your outer presentation to be repeating in some way. The road to your eventual progress is never straightforward, but rather it loops around the mountain in switchbacks and morphs into a different form of path altogether before you are done. This monthly period represents one of the loops in your spiral. The New Moon that comes along in the middle of the first week of the month, on Tuesday, June 3rd, takes you further down your road than you have been before and lends enthusiasm for your current journey, although you are at the same time also reviewing and contemplating your priorities. You are philosophically invested in your present course of action, meaning that a new way of thinking and of perceiving the world is dawning for you these days based on real-world activities. On June 7th your ruler Mercury moves backwards through the zodiac to conjunct the Sun and Venus, making for a grand display of astrological fireworks. You are especially blessed at this time and magnetized toward achievement that is fully meaningful for you, the path with heart that Carlos Castaneda referred to so often in his mystical writings. The First Quarter Moon of Tuesday, June 10th, signals another crucial period, when you are drawn to finding the deficiencies in what you are attempting, and when outer events seem to conspire in bringing a creative tension to your process. In this case, you are being sparked with ideals of excellence and the conflict between public and private concerns. Important partnerships in your life provide some surprising information that could rock your basic concept of where you are headed with your life right now. The Full Moon that comes along another week later, taking place in the middle of the following week, on Wednesday, June 18th, and the days following, leading up to the Summer Solstice of the 20th, is also a climactic period of time for you, and give you the chance to see how far you have actually come in terms of your personal evolution. A summing up of past difficulties and triumphs takes place over these few days. There is a way that your past is repeating for you, as you circle once more around the mountain of your destiny, but with no doubt an entirely different perspective from your position that much further up the slope.
