Virgo Horoscope (August 23 - September 22)
Mutable Earth. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

You are opening up to a new world these days and to a new way of being in it, Virgo. When you give way to the sudden impulse out of nowhere, it might prove in the end to be an upper or a downer but in any case it will rock your world. There is a push-pull of circumstance that is operating in your life right now whereby you at times stay stuck in that old and comfortable rut and then go far beyond it. All that glitters for you right now is not the simplicity of material reward but the inner gold that comes from a job well done and friends who appreciate you for who you really are.

As the month begins, you are strong on self-expression, coming into yourself in new ways and feeling both that powerful sense of solidity that is an important part of your world lately and as well the excitement of blazing new trails in the realm of others. You are finding novel forms of relationship that blast you out of those ruts almost as fast as you can sink back into them. You are also investigating new methods of showing up for service to others at this time as well. There is a way that you are finding out more of what it means, ultimately, that you are here participating on the planet with the rest of society. In past lifetimes you may have been given much, and now you feel the opportunity to give back, to the social matrix that surrounds you and to the universe in general. This category of opportunity has been on you mind lately, and this month more than ever. With the First Quarter Moon of Sunday, January 4th, you may feel the tension of opposites pulling at your psyche, raising the question of whether to go with new experience or whether to stay behind. You are moving into a new form of spaciousness that allows your underlying core center full expression but also gets you out there in a very different manner that proceeds more directly from your heart. The Full Moon of Saturday, January 10th, emphasizes these distinctions and simultaneously centers you in your own process. With your ruler Mercury in retrograde for the remainder of the month you will want to move slowly, even when you feel like running, and to look well before making any sudden leaps into the relative unknown consequence. This latter half of the month, and on into mid-February, is a time for watching and waiting and not a time to move forward with any unplanned moves. With the Solar Eclipse that comes along in the late evening of Sunday, January 25th, in your sector of higher purpose, you will find the supreme integration of thought and action along the lines that you have been arriving at for your whole life that has proceeded this moment of fresh awareness.
