Virgo Horoscope (August 23 - September 22)
Mutable Earth. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

This is a time of both change and of stillness, Virgo. Things in your life have been shifting and coming round to a new coherence. You are getting more stable, and simultaneously more free, as a result of continually redefining yourself and your involvement with others over the past few weeks, and now something definite is beginning to jell. This involves compassionate assistance to others, and the pure joy of taking up your rightful place in the great cog-wheel of existence. Service to the world around you is service to yourself, that's a given for you, but service with a smile might be an entirely new concept.

As the month begins, you are riding the wave from the Solar Eclipse of the last week of January, in your sector of discipleship to your higher purpose for yourself. The beginning on the month also coincides with the reversal of your ruler Mercury's retrograde motion. It is still a shaky time in terms of the retrograde, but you are beginning to pull out of it. These last three weeks have been a time for reflection, and for establishing a better idea for yourself of where it is that you are headed in your life, and what it will take to get you there. Now, as you prepare to move forward with a renewed sense of purpose, it is well to take stock and to seek to balance the various requirements of home and family, the relationships in your life, and your own agenda. This program pertains over the first full week of the month. With the advent of the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse of Monday, February 9th, you are seeking not only this balance, the fruit of recent reflections, but also a way to mediate between the outer and inner forms of your personality, sometimes termed ego versus oneness. This is not a one-sided struggle. Ego must yield to cosmic consciousness at times, and at times hold sway. There is no sense in repudiating this part of our human, and indeed our animal, heritage; it's just that the conscious recognition of our multi-dimensional angel nature often takes a back seat when it could be driving the bus. That this Full Moon period is based on an eclipse makes this basic dichotomy within you especially potent at this time. In another indication of the power of this eclipse energy, you also might find that old traumas are up for renewed consideration during this mid-month period. Places where you have been wounded in the past and that have been buried in the mist of semi-awareness may now be very present to you, which could seem like trouble, but which is really the beginning of a softening of their impact on your life. The goal is not that these difficult feelings go away; the goal is that they be accepted and given a place at your table. Another turning point in this month's journey of exploration comes at the time of the Last Quarter Moon, when colliding points of view serve to raise your awareness of what is really true for you, and the direction that your life must take in response. This month is an important fact-finding period of time, as they say in government, when you are planting seeds and building for the future. The Pisces New Moon that comes along a week later in your partnership sector signals a fresh start.
