Virgo Horoscope (August 23 - September 22)
Mutable Earth. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

You are coming into spiritual congruence with the outline of your life these days, Virgo, and spending a good deal of time dwelling in the dream world of your imagination. You are very achievement oriented right now, no question, but getting ahead is only part of the story. You are very go-go-go but just when you think you are gaining some momentum, you find yourself unexpectedly stopped. There are important lessons in this. As the poet says, sweet are the uses of adversity. When you take the time to smell the roses you might find that they have volumes to covey about where you are actually heading with your life, and why.

As the month begins, you are feeling a paradoxical chime with your inner world that takes you out of touch with the practical mundane one that surrounds you and yet also somehow enhances that connection. Since the New Moon from the last ten days of July took place in your sector of dream imagination, you are very stimulated on the inside; daydreams could seem more real and more present than waking life. You are recognizing inner ways of being - ways that are orthogonal to real world activities. You are also tuned to the presence of Saturn in your identity sector, so you really cannot stray too far from the here and now world of practical necessity, especially as the month unfolds. Your ruler Mercury is in your sign for much of August, so that this factor tips the balance in favor of the ordinary world. All this month you are constantly mediating between these worlds, and you do well to deliberately place your conscious awareness with both of them. There is a way also during this month that you are exploring your path forward into service to the broader collective, attempting to discover the totally unique and individual path that is right for you and you alone. The Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse of Wednesday, August 5th, might emphasize this latter function since the Moon resides in your sector of your highest purpose for yourself, what noted Astrologer Dane Rudhyar called "the discipleship to you're your higher self." With the triple conjunction of Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune residing in that sector all this time as well, there is plenty of positive energy for a new sense of mission in your life, a feeling perhaps of coming home to what you were always meant to be doing. The Last Quarter Moon of Thursday, August 13th, might provide excellent food for thought in relation to this arc of your development, and emphasizes as well as the idealism, the practical aspects of your situation. The nature of this pivotal time for you is that you must embrace both the far out possibility and the restraints of practical and hard-nosed necessity. When the New Moon comes along a week later, taking place on Thursday, August 20th, it signals a powerful breakthrough and a time when you will be lead toward integration of inner and outer, self and other, into a new synthesis that embodies the siren call of new worlds to conquer and also the concretely practical.
