Virgo Horoscope (August 23 - September 22)
Mutable Earth. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

Your times they are changing, Virgo, and your fundamental beliefs and worldview along with them. Everywhere you look this month you see reflections of the creative void along with intimations of a new and more centered stability for yourself. Service to others around you is your mantra. As you take an active interest in integrating the needs of others more fully with your own, it brings you closer to your intention of finding your dharma – your life's work. You are engaged now in deconstructing and reconstructing the puzzle pieces of your life; maneuvering them into a more pleasing arrangement. By month's end a new pattern is beginning to emerge that brings you closer in many ways to your heart's true desire.

As the month begins, with the New Moon of Wednesday, February 2nd in your sector of discipleship to your highest intention, you are filled with a strong sense of purpose for what you profoundly believe is your true pathway forward. Now your task is to discover just what that path in the final analysis entails. To figure this out you must strive to remain as free as possible of illusions due to the influence of others, and as well free from the self-delusions practiced by yourself alone that have become activated over time and ritualized into your habitual patterns of avoidant behavior. You have an enormous sense of optimism at your disposal now, which should help immensely. You also have the aid of important others in your life, which, although taking some unique aspects at times lately, could remain indispensable. Epiphanies come to you by the dozens and some of these will also be quite useful in sorting out your priorities. The First Quarter Moon which comes along a week later, on Thursday, February 10th, might give you pause, and put a few roadblocks in the way of your process. This is a time when basic conflicts in your position could become exposed, and when the reality behind the illusion could also become more evident. You are taking on a big piece here, striving to get your ducks into a row, and the tension could easily take its toll. This could also be the moment of your greatest triumph if you can stay flexible and surmount the challenges with grace and style. When the Full Moon hits a week later, after midnight on the night of Thursday, February 17th, you will enter a new balance that takes issues of self and other more firmly into account. This is also a time when you will be inclined to place significant persons in your life on a pedestal, or else imagine them to be less than positive factors, so that there is danger of either over- or under-inflating their importance in your life. It is also possible that old trauma regarding relationship might surface at this time; if so it will be extremely helpful to face it head-on and not to duck or bury the emotions raised. Old patterns of behavior that stem from early childhood trauma or that of young adulthood can be handled more successfully now, but only to the extent that these prior woundings are acknowledged and accepted by you more mature conscious self, in the present moment. The Last Quarter Moon, when it comes up, on Thursday, February 24th, will represent a time of mulling over all these issues; perhaps at this point in time they will even become magnified. It is important that you pay close attention to everything that happens to you over the course of this fairly climactic monthly cycle. If you ignore the issues raised you will get more chances, of course, but as they say there is no time like the present to deal with them.
