Virgo Horoscope (August 23 - September 22)

Your ship is coming in, Virgo, although it might not take the exact shape that you were expecting. These days you are feeling your way into better and more satisfying connection with surrounding cosmos, and that source takes many forms. Not the least of these is compassionate connection with significant others in your life, who provide both support and ongoing lessons. Another way to look at things is to say that painful realizations can be your helpful guideposts now as long as you look closely into the matter. As you make your way, an unexpected turn at an unknown crossroad derails your planned excursion. You might discover that the adventure of getting lost and then finding yourself again is well worth the investment in time and energy.

As the month begins, you are feeling your way into a new phase of relationship with significant partners. There could be painful realizations that need to be accepted as part of your journey, or there could be epiphanies in other forms, such as new ways of seeing that others in your life are there for a reason and the way that their perspective compliments and rounds out your own. The dawning of new vistas of intimacy with others could function as a necessary prelude to a deeper exploration of your own current patterns of growth, and, paradoxically, of finding your own authority, in your own way, independent of the authority that others seem to have over you. The thought forms accompanying the idea of the influence of others could also represent an ancient carry-over from childhood, when your incubation period as a newly-formed personality was still underway. You might be in the process of recognizing that remnant as inappropriate to your present state of self-knowledge. The New Moon that takes place on Friday, March 4th, represents a fresh burst of energy in the area of relationship and what you stand to gain from this area of your life. This applies to relationships of all kinds including business partnerships. There could be adjustments to be made regarding self and other, or in recognizing where your own values lie, independent of other voices. You feel the heat but also the light that arises out of intimate connection, and can utilize a form of double vision to see how progress in developing your own point of view is useful and indeed vital to preserving a better sense of how you fit together with others around you. The Full Moon in your sign a week later, taking place on Saturday, March 19th, and the period immediately following, brings you to the brink of breakthrough. A new world is opening up before you, and you have only to let it in. Allowing this new world to take shape without judgment is perhaps the trickiest part. You are fighting a battle of wills within yourself over moving forward with necessary changes versus remaining in stasis and it's difficult to determine which side has the upper hand. Innovation is the wave of the future and must ultimately prevail as new forms of self-expression continue to arise from deep within you. The Last Quarter Moon of Saturday, March 26th, puts the icing on the cake of the realization that you definitely are not in Kansas anymore, but it might bring up more questions than answers. You are spending the last week of the month mulling over where you have been as a clue to where you are going. In all this you are seeking the higher ground, and even finding it.
