Virgo Horoscope (August 23 - September 22)
Mutable Earth. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

It is an entirely new ballgame for you, Virgo. Your wishes are powerful now, and lead you toward new horizons. Self-expression is a transformative area, a changing landscape throwing you out of your normal orbit, and putting you more in tune with a deep sense of intuitional purpose that takes you beyond former limits. You are coming to greater consciousness regarding old patterns of dysfunctional behavior that have perhaps held you back for far too long, and that with the help of the feedback from constructive partners are starting to shift. You have been feeling stuck, shying away from necessary adjustments that you fear will take you out of your comfort zone. All that may be about to change with the power of this monthly cycle.

As the month begins, you are feeling the strength of the enormously powerful Solar Eclipse in your sector of wishes and hopes and plans for the future. Your vision is for a better alignment between your current or future projects and your true soul purpose, and in some ways you have never in your life been closer to making that fit work out for you. In the midst of discovering how best to actualize these ideals you are also dealing with perceived lack, which is not necessarily based in actual deficit but which can equally inhibit your sense of progress. This might be in the area of your finances, or it might involve more subtle bases for comfort and security, perhaps in terms of the interaction with significant partners in your life. Relationship is a confusing area for you right now. There could be a tendency to place partners on a pedestal, or to idealize your possibilities, or there could even be outright deception that you might suffer from others during the course of this intense spring and summer. It is also possible that ancient patterns of behavior could come up, interfering with the smooth functioning of your connections with others. These are patterns that stem from early childhood trauma and that have long outlived their usefulness in your present day era. If such potentially dysfunctional behavior does arise it could become a positive development. By calling your conscious attention to these behaviors and the dark places within your psyche that they are connected to, it might be possible for you to reach a new level of acceptance regarding them. Only by allowing your inner wounds to become more conscious can you begin to move past them. The First Quarter Moon of late Thursday and early Friday, July 7th and 8th, initiates a period when many of these conflicts could become more pronounced. This is a testing time; a time when you will be forced to recognize that some parts of what you are attempting this month might not fly, while others will need to be adjusted in important ways. Limitations loom large but it is also good at this juncture to remember that nothing is impossible and that where there is a will there is a way. If the idealizations that have been part of your response to significant others in your life continue to rage unchecked they might represent a detriment rather than an advantage, so that it is a good time for a more conscious approach in this area. The Full Moon of Thursday night and Friday morning, July 14th and 15th, signals a time of balance and of relative peace in the valley, as you consider the changes that you are in the midst of. You are investigating how far you can go toward synthesizing logical and intuitive methodologies. It is becoming clear to you the extent to which you are redefining yourself in important ways over this period, and striving for an excellence in self-expression that corresponds to the purity of your motivation. The Last Quarter Moon of July 22nd is the focal point of a phase of summing up all the conclusions that you can possibly draw from your experience, taking what you have gathered from the seeming coincidences and resonances of the prior weeks of the month leading up to this moment of contemplation. This is an excellent time to journal and in general to mull over your possibilities as you prepare to enter your next stage.
