Virgo Horoscope (August 23 - September 22)
Mutable Earth. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

This is a powerful time of new beginnings for you Virgo. You are only just now starting to emerge from the adventures in consciousness of the previous cycle, one that has taken you to your depths and back out again. Now, your energy is up, and partnership is paramount as you exercise in a practical way the information that you have gained. It might also be that old patterns of relationship come back to haunt you in the present monthly cycle, but if so, it is for the purpose of recognizing and moving beyond them. You are hitting your stride, and although you are less superficially brash than you were even as recently as a month ago, you are coming at the world with greater depth � and more true confidence.

As the month begins, you are energized and outer-oriented, even as you realize that you are more aware than ever of inner perspectives. This meditative period is slowly ending, in stages. as you deal with the aftermath of last month�s retrograde of your ruler Mercury, which has taken you to the inside for an intensive look at all aspects of your life. Outer and inner are but two sides of the same coin, as it were, and yet they can seem to have different agendas and to correspond to different takes on reality. You are pulling yourself together in spite of your new-found understanding of the vastness that separates the varied perspectives of your internal compass points. There is a long shadow cast by some of these contents and you are dealing with it as this current monthly cycle unfolds. With the First Quarter Moon of Sunday, September 4th, you are finding the greatest tension in your process as you run into potential conflicts with others, perhaps family members, and strive to resolve differing points of view. The secret is a synthesis that rises above the horns of the seemingly black and white dilemma, taking a third and more graceful path. While it is tempting to stay stuck on past beliefs and established dogma, as safer, it is ultimately more rewarding to let evolution take its course and allow the universe to steer your ship of state. The Full Moon of a week later on, taking place on Monday, September 12th, is a good moment to try for a sense of balance. You are dealing with issues now of self and other; and these involve deciding where one ends and the other begins, and how to compromise without compromising yourself or transgressing your bottom-line requirements. Old patterns of behavior might crop up at any time this month, and especially over these first two weeks. These could represent the residue of prior trauma, in childhood, when parental care was either problematic or lacking or when peer-to-peer relationships among siblings and classmates left something to be desired. There can be hurt feelings that are shunned by conscious attitudes and that take on an underground life of their own. Moving past these wounds is of course vitally important for your peace of mind and continued growth, and involves first the recognition of what is going on for you underneath the surface of your more habitual conscious awareness and then the acceptance and re-integration of these rejected and walled-off parts of yourself. The Last Quarter Moon of Tuesday, September 20th, represents a time when you will be reviewing the past three weeks of the lunar cycle and reconstructing the events that have transpired according to the insights gained over this entire period. This serves as seed material for the next cycle, kicked off by the New Moon of Tuesday, September 27th, which is another powerful one, leading you to a fresh start in many areas.
