Virgo Horoscope (August 23 - September 22)
Mutable Earth. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

This is a powerful and profound month for you Virgo. It�s a very different kind of end-of-year season with your ruler Mercury retrograde in your sector of home and family. You might find yourself reviewing and re-visioning your bonds with important others in your life, especially within familial units and with tribe. You are striving to find the heart of these connections. Understanding unexpectantly dawns when you can hold yourself open to receive it. You are also engaged right now in sussing out the inner meaning of dysfunctional issues of relationship that have perhaps tripped you up in the past. Instant epiphany appears throughout the month regarding these patterns, so that it pays to be ready for that moment when it arrives, or at least as ready as you can be.

As the month begins, you are re-organizing your concepts of family and resultant feelings of internal security in light of new inferences and revised belief systems that spring from a deeply intuitive place inside you. This could be an opportunity for you now to recognize that in terms of knowledge, all that glitters is not gold when it is the superficial shine of consensus thinking and corporate-sponsored conditioning that is at issue. If you can trust in the information you receive from your inner depths you are far ahead of the game. There are consequences as well for the actions that you now contemplate since at each and every moment there are choices which will either allow you to drift away from your principles or instead to render yourself more consistent with what you believe in your heart of hearts. With the First Quarter Moon of late Thursday evening, December 1st, and early Friday morning, you might well find that issues of family and of tribe, or of your own sense of psychological security, could be seen as coming to a head; some form of minor crisis in activity. Contentious behavior on the part of significant others in your life could be a factor, as could yours as well, and these might either serve to distract you from your purpose or else to bring your fundamental intention into sharper relief. Regarding what you stand for, you might want to ask yourself what exactly are the factors in your life that allow you to make progress. Things may become clearer as you look more deeply into what is going on in your world throughout the course of this month. Old patterns of behavior � that are perhaps disrupting your way to being more of what you truly want to be � could also be up for review and potentially for greater acceptance and eventual modification. The Full Moon of Saturday, December 10th, represents a new a plateau of understanding, a time when all these factors present themselves more starkly. You are seeking a more profound integration within yourself, top to bottom. Over the next week, your ruler Mercury changes to direct motion and a shift in the atmosphere could be palpable. You benefit by taking the opportunity to better accept ancient wounds that have settled into your system as walled-off portions of your psyche and admit them to the daylight of your more conscious understanding. The Last Quarter Moon in your sign takes place in the following weekend, on Saturday, December 17th, and is accompanied by a new level of reflective introspection on your part as you integrate the information gained over the past few weeks, attempting to sort out the wheat from the chaff. There is idealization and potential confusion inherent in your approach to relationship at this time, so that a careful reassessment has its merits and is in any case what is up for you as this powerful lunation cycle comes to its close. With the New Moon of the following weekend, Saturday, December 24th, which is also Christmas Eve, a spiritual point of view becomes increasingly manifest, and exigent.
