Neptune Retrograde & Sun Conjunct Mars: Inspired Vibrance

Neptune is stationing retrograde today, and with his watery and numinous archetype at a standstill in the sky, his influence is amplified. With Venus in a close inconjunct aspect, and the Moon hitting an exact sextile late on Friday evening, this weekend will be colored in part by a soft and mystical quality, signaling a desire to connect with others in a poetic and inspired way. The Sun is also in conjunction with fiery Mars all weekend long, so that there is plenty of "get-up-and-go" that is equally present in the astrology of this fascinating weekend. With the Sun, the planet of vitality, and Mars, representing action, energy and drive, colluding fiercely in the skies there is a radiant courage and an urge to get on with it and make something happen, standing out against the backdrop of the mystical and peace-loving energy of heightened Neptune.

Then, too, with Mercury moving slowly, as it recovers from its recent period of retrograde motion, there are remnants of the typical inward turning and potentially a continuation of those missed synaptic connections. You may feel somewhat accustomed by now to the relative uncertainty and ethereal qualities that come in such heavily Neptunian times, because this entire lunation cycle has presented this theme.

The opportunity this weekend is to forge ahead with plans that move you in a powerful way that is also in alignment with your deepest feelings about what truly needs to happen. You can nurture this integration by being sure to also set aside some time to connect in as profoundly as possible with yourself and spirit within you. By remaining attentive you can foster a quality of human connection that is timeless and fluid, and do this in a powerfully creative manner, responding to inner as well as outer priorities.
