Even though this might not be your favorite thing to do, Taurus, you are riding the roller coaster this month. This comes at you in two distinct phases, matching the first and the latter half of June. For the first two weeks, or near, you are beginning your wild ride, with your intuition incredibly strong, and with partnership transformation very much emphasized. You could possibly sense the hidden motivations behind a partner’s actions in ways that you never before have noticed. Then, with the dynamic New Moon of Wednesday, June 13th, it becomes more exclusively your own self-development that is on the line. This is a period when you are mulling over your home and family in terms of your bond with loved ones and your physical dwelling place, as well as family structures of origin. An introspective final week of the month brings reconsideration of your relationship dynamic, your beliefs in general, and an extremely practical form of starry-eyed idealism.

Welcome to the new YOU, Taurus. With Uranus having just entered your home sign last month you are likely getting a taste for this new revolutionary energy in your life. This month picks up where last left off with a variety of powerful transits, including a big Mars retrograde in your career house. Let’s look at each!
Between June 5th and 6th, Venus in Cancer in your third house will be moving through an opposition to Pluto in Capricorn in your ninth house, highlighting mental, emotional, academic, or even spiritual or ethical communicative tensions in your relationships. There is an opportunity for deep healing, honesty, and transformation, but it will require that you open yourself up to your deeper feelings and take some risk in how you both listen and communicate with others.
At nearly the same time, between June 6th and 7th, the Sun and Mercury will be conjunct in Gemini in your second house while moving into a square with Neptune in Pisces in your eleventh house. You might be entertaining new ideas regarding finances or collaborative group projects at this time, or you might be exploring new sources of revenue or even considering purchasing something. Be careful, because you may not be seeing everything clearly right now. Be sure to pay close attention to the details and beware of the possibility for deception in your social circles.
On June 13th, the New Moon in Gemini will also land in your second house of finances, further emphasizing the need to start something new or make important changes in this area. At the same time, Mars will also conjoin the South Node of the Moon in the tenth house of career, perhaps indicating some challenging themes in work or among you and your colleagues. There is a deep level of wisdom available to you right now, when you can open to it, that can help you to make an important decision, take a stand, or let go of something that is no longer serving you.
Between June 14th and 15th, Venus in Leo in your fourth house of home, family, and property, will square Uranus in Taurus in your first house of self, health, and new beginnings. Don’t be surprised if you’re doing some home maintenance or changing your personal style or moving the furniture around. You may also be ready for a more authentic level of communication in relationships or with family members. As a Taurus, you might have to adjust somewhat to the edginess of Uranus, but you are more than ready for these changes.
On June 15th, Mercury in Cancer in your third house will also oppose Saturn in Capricorn in your ninth, emphasizing a serious, constrained, focused, or disciplined quality of mind and speech, including communication and overall organization. Be careful to avoid rigid thinking or inflexible attitudes, but also remain open to people challenging you mentally, spiritually, or intellectually.
On June 21st a wild Summer Solstice ushers in new learning opportunities with adventurous exploration of the deeper portions of your psyche. Simultaneously, Venus in Leo in your fourth house of home, family, and property will move into an opposition with Mars in Aquarius in your tenth house of career (the nodal axis of the Moon will be included in this opposition, too!). Communication is emphasized, and you’ll likely be looking for the right balance between home and work, between family and professional duty, or between your personal calling and your inner, private life. You might also notice a powerful creative impulse during this time. Mars/Venus oppositions can also emphasize sexual tension, lust, and temptations, so enjoy yourself but stay on your toes and don’t be fooled by the temporary sparkle of things that will only complicate your life in the long run.
June 23rd Mercury in Cancer is opposing Pluto in Capricorn, yet again emphasizing the themes of powerful communication, truth telling, gossip, depth, darkness, and healing through words and language. Then on June 25th, Venus in Leo in your fourth house of home, family, and property, will square Jupiter in Scorpio in your seventh house of marriage and love, briefly emphasizing wealth, beauty, growth, expansion, and extravagance in both home and relationships at once. Remember, though you are a Venus ruled sign, and love the sweet things in life, you are at your best when beauty is matched with simplicity and sustainability.
Finally, on June 27th, the Full Moon will conjoin Saturn in your 9th house of the higher mind, belief, long journeys, and religion, while Mars turns retrograde just one day prior, in your tenth house of career. This is a big moment for you and it points to an entire summer that will be devoted to an introspective process leading perhaps to changes in your career. These are likely to be intimately related to changing beliefs or an ongoing process of learning and study. We will continue to look at this transit carefully over both July and August’s columns. The presence of Mars retrograde is an especially big deal for Taureans because for several months he will engage Uranus in your sign, bringing up impulses for sudden changes or even questions regarding your very identity, thus pressing the agenda of transformation and deeply personal evolution yet to come.
