Libra Horoscope for December 2012

You have been shaken to the core, Libra, once more yet again, and are finding a new world to come back to. This is actually only as difficult as you make it. Your sense of self-worth is important, as always, and yet you are discovering in the course of this unfolding that it might depend more on subtle spiritual depths than you had previously given credit. Finance and material security are still on your mind, but the glitter has worn off compared with the true gold of what you can find in deep connection with others, and in exploring your own vast inside. Home and family concerns might put you through the wringer but soul-felt communication with like-minded fellow travelers will pull you back out again, and you will be the richer.

As the month begins, you are riding the wave of the powerful lunar eclipse from the end of last month. This took place in your sector of higher mind, and it could well be that the major focus of your journey over the first half of this intense lunation was of this order: learning and teaching and reaching out to others around you with conceptual information of your own or in relay mode from the minds of others. You have been intent on making a strong stand for yourself both independent from and in concert with others, and the higher mind aspect of what you are doing has not escaped you.

Your values are also being channeled through your deep process and your heart connection with others. Relationships have been very volatile area for you lately, but full of surprises and the touch of wisdom. As unpredictable and potentially unsettling as this has been for you, the rewards have definitely been there for you as well, and it has led you to a new way of occupying your own center.

It might be that your sense of your family and your home has been changing for you over this past year. A powerful wave of intuitional information has sparked this change, and once begun you have no choice really but to ride it out. You won't find the way to manage this situation with the rules that you learned at mother's knee, but rather by striking out on your own hook, however difficult mentally to make that shift might be, and however far you need to depart from what early conditioning has taught you.

There are also considerations of self-worth that are riding on the line for you these days. You might be consciously asking yourself the question – what do you truly value? And if your values have not caught up with your level of spiritual evolution that you now occupy, then you might be able to make necessary course corrections. If you are intent on following your own path, then it is difficult for you to go far wrong.

With the Last Quarter Moon of Thursday, December 6th, you are continuing to reevaluate your value system and the material side of life. With Mercury still recovering its lost zodiacal ground this early part of the month, in your sector of values and resources, it might be that you have been reflecting quite a bit upon these matters. You might want to consider as you do what value you place on your own developing character as a result of everything you have been through this year as opposed to the status symbols of society.

The New Moon a week later, taking place on Thursday, December 13th, in your communications sector implies a focus on education, teaching and communicating. This is an excellent time for you to consider writing down your ideas, which have been plentiful lately and have exposed you to the input of other minds as well, in partnership or in mentorship with yours. If you were planning to start a blog, now is the time.

With the First Quarter Moon of Wednesday, December 19th, you could experience a subtle shift in direction as you get more familiar with the snags and reality checks of what you are attempting to accomplish in this second half of the month. You are also transitioning into the Winter Solstice two days later, on the 21st, when your focus turns somewhat to home and family, partly in keeping with the holiday season. This is a tricky period when you are feeling a heightened sense of limitation, with the glass half empty and also an optimism for a new way of seeing the world that would be more expansive.

The Full Moon of Friday, December 28th, is another fairly intense time, when many factors in your life could be questioned or altered. You can consider these as trials or else as grist for your mill as you continue to fashion out of your experience a new road for yourself that leads to a more viable future, going forward.
