Aries Horoscope for June 2019

The beat continues, Aries. As you look back on a difficult and yet rewarding first five months of the year, you recognize that your transformation continues. What you really are up to has been a moving target over all this time, as you respond by one means or another to the call of the Universe, your Higher Self, and your own inner intuition to be all that you can be in alignment to your deepest values. Your learning curve carries on, steep and expansive. Communication, and most particularly with significant others, is the name of your game just now. Home and family provide the backdrop for all that you do externally. It is more than fortunate that close partners in your life support you in what you are attempting, which is nothing less than fully embracing your sense of inner purpose. As you explore novel and affirming ways of looking at the world around you are revising and cleansing the lens of your belief system that you see it through.

The following was written by our resident monthly columnist Adam Elenbaas of The Nightlight Astrology School

The story of the month is that your ruling planet, Mars, currently in its fall in Cancer in your fourth house of home and family, is moving through a series of oppositions to Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. This energy will be building like a pressure cooker all month long, but it perfects between June 13th and the 21st, just in time for the Summer Solstice, on June 21st, when the Sun will also enter your fourth house and move into the sign of Cancer.

The fourth house is your foundation. It pertains to land, wealth, parents, and roots. So, this is where your personal attention and energy is likely focused this month, and it could be moodier and more emotionally charged than you prefer. However, the real story involves the oppositions from Mars to Saturn and Pluto in your tenth house, which is a house linked not only to your career but to your public reputation and your actions or intentions “out in the world” (as opposed to the private sphere of the 4th house). Thus, you are facing a time of challenge and change in relation to both areas at once this month. It would be not at all surprising to see you dealing with some limitations or obstacles stemming from the home and family, or perhaps related to inflexible or rigid people in the workplace. Remember that with your ruling planet somewhat debilitated right now, you are prone to emotional reactivity, so be sure to honor your feelings and take whatever time you need to process your feelings thoughtfully. Otherwise, you are prone to emotionally volatile or aggressive confrontations.

When the Sun finally enters Cancer and moves into your fourth house of home and family on June 21st, you should start to feel a deeper level of support and clarity coming through.

The other big news of the month involves an ongoing T-square between a series of planets in Gemini in your third house of the mind and communication, to Jupiter in Sagittarius in your ninth house of faith and the higher mind, and also to Neptune in Pisces in your twelfth house of surrender and dissolution. The sequence starts with the New Moon in Gemini on June 3rd, and continues when the Sun creates the T-square with Jupiter and Neptune between June 9th and 10th, amps up with the Sagittarius Full Moon of June 17th, and then finishes off with Venus re-creating the T-square to Jupiter and Neptune between June 22nd and 24th.

This drawn out series of transits points to a month of deeper contemplation and learning, perhaps with a special emphasis on non-ordinary states of consciousness, with oppositions between reason and intuition, or skepticism and faith, and with the need for growth that is intimately related to a change of mind or understanding. This month could also very well relate to new courses of learning, new teachers, or even the desire to travel for the sake of learning or spiritual retreat.

The final notable transit of the month happens on June 26th and 27th when the Sun in Cancer in your fourth house hits a square to Chiron, the Wounded Healer, in your home sign of Aries in the first house. The emotional intensity of the month culminates in a moment of the recognition of inner wounding, and yet also of deeper understanding and healing in relation to your roots, home, health, or perhaps your father, or a parental figure in your life.
