This is another powerful month for you, Capricorn, with a mystical element invoked that affects all your communications. You could find that you are a bit spacey, which could be concerning if you try too hard to hang onto the more normative way of doing things. Your current focus on values and finance has to also be allowed to take on some very different perspectives. It might be a good time to open the door to possibilities of a strange kind, because your creativity is sizzling with the opportunity to jump the tracks of ordinary reality and leap into something brand new. This could be a moment not to be ignored, or to stubbornly resist, but to celebrate. This takes place as you struggle to integrate identity shifts that have been in process for six months or more. Especially after the mid-month retrograde of Mercury, this month is a time to reflect on all that, and to seek unusual council in quite different and more introspective sources of information.
The following was written by our resident monthly columnist Elodie St-Onge-Aubut of Ninth House Astrology
Venus transiting in Pisces has brought a gentle influence in your communication allowing you to smooth out any building tension you might have experienced with co-workers or at home. You can still benefit from her transit here in the first week of February. Venus sextile Pluto in Capricorn on February 2nd and 3rd has a supportive influence for tackling deeper subjects. Conversations around boundaries and responsibilities could also arise, because Venus nearly simultaneously sextiles Saturn in Capricorn. Mercury enters Pisces on the 3rd as well, where it will eventually retrograde later this month. Mercury in Pisces, for you, increases communications of all kinds. The potential for confusion or miscommunication will however increase as Mercury slows down and turns retrograde on the 16th. If you need to have important discussions during February, it might be best to take advantage of the first two weeks of the month.
Venus enters the Cardinal Fire sign of Aries on February 7th (until March 4th) and brings her sweetness in your home sector. While Venus travels here you might be tempted to splurge on your home or indulge in small luxuries. This is contrary to your usual mode of operation, Capricorn, as you are expert in delayed gratification. However, while Venus transits in Aries I encourage you to find the time to indulge your senses.
The Full Moon occurs late in the evening of February 8th/9th, in the sign of Leo, highlighting issues of intimacy with key partners, including your agreements and contracts, and your shared assets. This Full Moon also calls to attention the work you have been doing on yourself to get beyond of your fears and anxieties. This might not seem like a big deal, but a new level of integration is within reach. With heavy planets like Saturn and Pluto in your sign for the last few years you have become a master at confronting difficulties. The light of the Full Moon shines on what used to have a grasp on you. The Full Moon also brings to the forefront your desire to find more financial autonomy versus the contribution of others, and this allows you to do more. Ideas and solutions in these matters could be within reach.
Venus in Aries squares the Lunar Nodes on the Capricorn/Cancer axis, on February 13th. Significant partnerships could be shifting at this time. It could also be a time of necessary compromises in your relationships.
On February16th Mercury stations retrograde in Pisces (until March 9th). This Mercury Retrograde period takes place in your communication sector. The next three weeks could bring a lot of back and forth discussion without a clear solution. It could also represent a time of negotiations when the term and agreements of a project or collaboration are being adjusted. Mars enters Capricorn on the same day gracing your sign until March 30th. Mars is considered powerful and strategic in the sign of Capricorn. This is excellent news for you. You can look forward to more stamina, vitality, and lasting power to get things done. You could feel disciplined and combative in the next several weeks. It would be an excellent occasion to integrate or increase physical activity.
The Sun enters the mutable sign of Pisces on February 18th as we slowly start to move over the next thirty days towards the end of winter in the Northern Hemisphere. The New Moon in Pisces occurs a few days later on February 23rd. With Jupiter, the traditional ruler of Pisces, transiting in your sign, this New Moon could offer you a powerful reset. The renewal could be linked to the way you express yourself, your creativity, and your overall sense of what is possible in these regards. Doing what you love is, in truth, possible. Jupiter in your sign this year offers you the perspective you need to move beyond your comfort zone and into the unknown.
On February 25th Mercury conjoins the Sun in Pisces in an inferior conjunction as an important part of its retrograde cycle. This is a significant marker in the Mercury Retrograde cycle that could help to clarify the path ahead. Mercury will still be moving backward in Pisces for another few weeks, but this is more or less the halfway point. Mars conjunct the South Node in your sign can bring some closure regarding your past. Important lessons being integrated at this time will allow you to move forward with your goals.
On February 28th, Venus will conjoin Eris in Aries while squaring Pluto in Capricorn. The profound changes that have been occurring for you all last year are sinking in, and there is no turning back. You are starting to understand the implications of what it means to follow your heart. The end of the month will in this way carry a powerful and decisive energy to propel you forward.
