This is another important month in terms of your own self-development, Cancer, and one in which there is a particular movement toward a better resolution of long-standing issues within your partnership dynamic. Recent astrological factors speak to an ongoing internal dialog that has as much to do with self-identity as with partners, and as much to do with the mechanism of what relationship in your life means to you than anything more overt in the realm of life’s details. Your presence in terms of career choices is also affected along with shared partnership resources. You are transforming at the core, as perhaps the two recent New Moons in your sign, one an eclipse from June, have informed you. This is also concerned with your deepest values, and how you act upon these. Your future plans are in flux, and you are wise to pay the closest possible attention to what your intuition has to say, deep within unconscious process, and to where it tells you to go.

Cancer season has been over for over a week now, but you are still feeling the deep soothing effects of its renewing waters. Your body and soul are aligned and ready for another trip around the Sun. You have ambitious visions of the future while simultaneously savoring the present moment. At the beginning of the month, exchanges with others are profound and honest. Difficult conversation topics are necessary if you want to have your requirements met. It should feel easier to express your needs especially in your personal relationships. A dive into a taboo subject or a secret is revealed as Mercury in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn on the 1st.
Things could feel a little bit more tangled by the 3rd with the Full Moon in Aquarius squaring Uranus while Mercury in Cancer is also opposing Saturn in Capricorn. You could have a hard time reconciling your personal desires with the desires and needs of a loved one. You might not be able to get your point across during this time. The Full Moon does illuminate what binds you to others, so that compromising may be required after a partner expresses their needs. Your desire to keep the peace – and your ability to listen – should settle any misunderstandings.
Mercury enters Leo on the 4th shifting your attention away from partnerships, and on to your career and financial trajectory. Mars in Aries in your vocational sector in square with expansive Jupiter brings momentum for your most ambitious goals. You currently have the energy to get things done so be sure to take advantage of it!
Venus enters Cancer on the 7th gracing your sign until the 6th of September. Venus in Cancer endows you with the charming and diplomatic powers to convince even the most potentially irritable opponents. Take care of your body with a massage, a haircut, or anything that helps you feel beautiful while Venus is transiting in your sign.
You may be prompted to focus on your alliances during the second week of August as a chain of aspects connects your goals, and your financial situation to your community. If you are volunteering your time for an association it could be time to ask yourself if it’s still worth it. Are you losing financially in order to stay connected to a certain group of people? Do the benefits surpass the costs? How much time are you spending on a job, and are you being fairly compensated for your work? The Last Quarter Moon in Taurus on the 11th brings up these questions, representing a change of attitude. There could be surprising solutions emerging now, so don’t shy away from exploring your options. Shaking up the status quo doesn’t have to be entirely disruptive and could even be productive.
Mars in Aries squaring Pluto in Capricorn on the 12th and 13th brings conflicting desires to the surface. Some of your goals may not be compatible with a partner and power struggles are possible. Be mindful of coercive behaviors arising at this time either from you or from a partner.
Your desires, and confidence align by the 16th when the Sun in Leo trines Mars in Aries. This aspect should boost your confidence regarding a recent vocational decision. Venus in Cancer simultaneously squares Chiron in Aries making you aware of feelings of inadequacy. Acknowledging your insecurities should diminish the hold they have on you.
On the 17th of August, Mercury in Leo unites with the Sun for a superior conjunction. The following day the New Moon takes place in the sign of Leo. This is a special moment of renewal with Mercury and the Moon simultaneously initiating new cycles in the financial sector of your chart. You are given an opportunity to set powerful intentions towards what you want to see take root.
Mercury enters Virgo on the 19th followed by the Sun on the 22nd offering some organizational support for the next thirty days.
The last two weeks of August are colored by Mars in Aries squaring Saturn in Capricorn, exact on the 24th. Collaborations could feel strenuous. It may be a good time to branch out on your own for this period. What you expect from others, and what others are capable of giving, could be disappointing. At month’s end, Venus in Cancer opposing Pluto in Capricorn highlights manipulative tactics or obsessive behaviors. Interpersonal relationships remain a work in progress. You might have to wait a few days until things settle down before getting to the bottom of a complicated situation.
