Taurus Horoscope for September 2020

You are on a mission of discovery this month, Taurus, but it will not take you away from your home base. Surprising events abound, and you will want to avoid these from distracting you from your goal. It is an inner process that motivates you now, as you attempt to arrive at a more thorough understanding of your inner workings, and what ultimately drives you. Relationships come into this picture as well, providing an additional mirror. You know yourself, yes, and yet you also might notice that there is always another layer of the onion. You do best, in fact, to take up the beginner’s mind in relation to all things, and most especially who and what you really are. The happenings around home and family will give you clues, including of course family of origin. Unexpected enlightenment makes its way to you through subtle means, providing intuitional information that you must half-close your eyes to see, and that in fact tells you the most complete story.

The Full Moon in Pisces at the beginning of September occurs in your social sector. Your place in the community is on your mind. A Full Moon represents a culmination, a time when something becomes obvious, and fully illuminated. The beginning of the month represents a time when you have a lot of clarity about your role, and what people expect from you. Uranus in Taurus sextile the Full Moon emphasizes your unique contribution. It may be a time of acknowledgement and networking. Something may be wrapping up before the fall season or you could be ready to relinquish burdensome expectations, and get more creative.

You’re ruling planet Venus is still in Cancer and opposes Saturn in Capricorn on the 1st and 2nd. Pleasure and duty, love and commitment, connectivity and isolation are only a few of the themes highlighted by this aspect. There is a tension between what you want and what is possible. This aspect could also indicate that you are currently feeling pressured by a commitment or a deadline. Balancing duty and pleasure can get you through at this time but you won’t be able to totally ignore your responsibilities.

On September 4th, the Moon in Aries can help you get to the root of what you truly want, although the Moon joining Mars in Aries on the 5th brings tension that is difficult to pinpoint. Be aware of your stressors. Try to manage them as consciously as possible. Your desire to succeed is strong at this time, although not completely obvious. You may feel agitated or tense with current setbacks. Pay attention to your internal dialogue for clues. Mercury entering Libra on the 5th can help you pull out some of your more unconscious patterns if you are willing to go there. Verbalizing or writing things out could also be helpful this month. Stay mindful of the information you are taking in.

Venus enters Leo on the 6th and your focus starts to shift back to your home and family for the rest of September. You may also feel like beautifying your space or simply spending more time at home.

Mars stations retrograde in Aries on the 9th and moves backward through the zodiac until mid-November. Mars retrograde takes place in the part of your chart that relates to your unconscious. You will have many opportunities in the next two months to notice your unproductive patterns. Internal dialogues that undermine your efforts may be ready to get the boot. It’s an excellent time to get familiar with some of your hidden emotions. Anger and resentment can be some of the more destructive ones. Mars retrograde in Aries is your cue to get honest about your frustrations, and whatever is going on beneath the surface.

Jupiter stationing direct in Capricorn on the 12th helps you gain perspective on a recent project. You have somewhat of an idealized vision of groups you are part of and what the future holds, so don’t let your imagination run wild.

The New Moon in Virgo on the 17th brings a cleansing energy to your creative or romantic pursuits. You can see the road ahead, and new ideas start to flow in this mid-month period. Mercury in Libra rules over the New Moon in Virgo and helps to structure and organize your thoughts. You may need to get more concrete, and implement some productive habits that can help you go where you want to be. This New Moon is also a clear reset for any romantic scenarios; elevate your standards.

The Sun enters Libra on September 22nd signalling the first day of fall in the Northern Hemisphere and spring in the Southern Hemisphere. The Sun in Libra will continue to support the intentions you have initiated on the New Moon. Your creativity, your productivity, and your habits are closely linked this month. Any self-defeating patterns will become obvious, which should help you adjust by adopting better habits and quelling internal destructive monologues.

Your workload increases by the 22nd to the 24th when Mercury in Libra squares Saturn in Capricorn and opposes Mars retrograde in Aries. This can be a potentially stressful time when you feel pressured to deliver the goods. Make some space to navigate the last week of September, and don’t over-schedule yourself. The late evening of the 28th, Saturn in Capricorn stations direct while squaring Mars retrograde in Aries, which augurs much the same, potentially increasing the tension. You must try to find the discipline to get through your tasks, and also give yourself plenty of time to release the pressure valve.
