Virgo Horoscope for February 2021

This month is an interesting one for you, Virgo. Even as you continue slogging through these changeful times, you are also filled with inspiration and insight, with the intention for meaningful course correction. This is not least due to the retrograde of Mercury, your ruler, lasting all through this month when you take its retrograde shadow into account. Your workplace and other day-to-day environments – and as well your routine health regimens – are subject to review and revision as you go through this introspective time period. You are also concerned with life mission, as you can come to understand it, and as you can make choices of the past more fully conscious. From just before this current month began you have been touched with brilliant insights, also perhaps departures from previous limitations of beliefs that may no longer constrain you in future. As you struggle toward your next developmental phase, the transformation of your creative self-expression paves the way for taking more direct action in support of your deep intention, going forward.

You are still riding the wave from before February began. The New Moon in Capricorn from the previous month, taking place in mid-January, kicked off a new cycle of growth in your creative sector. You may have spent the last few weeks meditating on your passions and where you want to take them in 2021. You may also have been busy organizing and structuring your ideas around a project that you would like to develop.

The month of February begins with Venus moving into Aquarius to join Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury and the Sun already comfortably installed there. The emphasis on Aquarius is undeniable this month. For Virgos the sign of Aquarius falls in your ‘’health and day-to-day routine’’ sector, emphasizing the need to pay attention to your habits, your schedule, workflow, and how all these things at the end of the day come together. You may be very busy in this area but not necessarily with the tasks that allow you to progress. You could be caught up in tedious details that make your everyday life function, with less time for your larger goals. This may become obvious on the 5th to the 7th, when Venus conjunct Saturn brings up the contrast between pleasure and duty. You could feel burdened by responsibilities that do not even benefit you directly. It may be a good idea to assess how much time you are spending, and on who and what, while attempting to find ways to prioritize.

Your ruling planet Mercury is retrograde in Aquarius for the first three weeks of February and meets the Sun on the 8th which marks the halfway point of its retrograde cycle. Mercury’s inferior conjunction with the Sun could bring some clarity in terms of priorities. The retrograde period lasts in its entirety right through to past the end of the month when you take the retrograde shadow period of two weeks into account.

On the 10th, Mercury in Aquarius squares Mars in Taurus, and you may find a renewed sense of direction. This brief aspect may awaken your ambitions. It might also be good to pace yourself as this also correlates with rash thinking and impulsive actions.

The New Moon takes place on February 11th in Aquarius for a total of six planets currently transiting in Aquarius. The New Moon highlights the fresh energy flowing into your health sector and the resolutions you may have to take control of your life, your body, and your time. This emerging awareness may feel both exciting and daunting as you contemplate the work at hand. Saturn and Uranus which are both associated with Aquarius are squaring each other at the time of the New Moon, highlighting your desire to broaden your reach and perhaps correct the habits or patterns that are tripping you up. This first square between Saturn and Uranus culminates on the 17th of February and will occur again from mid-May to July 4th, and from December 2021 to January 9, 2022. This somewhat difficult aspect therefore lasts all year, and could wind up highlighting the ways in which you can reach your goals by setting yourself up for success one step ahead of the other, and one day at a time.

The Sun enters Pisces on the 18th, for the next thirty days, gradually shifting the emphasis to the important partnerships in your life. You might still be busy until the end of the month working, and tying up loose ends, organizing important projects. Mercury stations direct on the 20th and this could be your cue to begin to finalize whatever has been lagging behind.

On the 25th, Venus joins the Sun and enters Pisces, where she will transit until the 21st of March. The sign of Pisces is considered the exaltation of Venus which means her significations are in full bloom here. Venus is a musical, connective, harmonizing, and relational. She may bring her gentle influence to your relationships and soften recent conflicts, or simply sweeten your connections, over the next thirty days.

The Full Moon in your sign takes place on the 27th and shines a big bright light on your needs, your health, and your overall well-being. With the Sun transiting in your opposite sign of Pisces, you may be more aware of the requirements of partnerships at this time. You may also realize the important support coming from the people you love. However, the Full Moon in Virgo also brings its attention back to you. This end of month timing could be a good moment to gauge where you are at in terms of fulfilling your personal desires. You could be feeling more in touch with your emotional body and with what you need on a daily basis to feel grounded and nurtured.
