Taurus Horoscope for August 2021

This is another significant month for you, Taurus, when the emphasis is on the inside. It is a wild and crazy month in some regards, as symbolized by the highlighted presence of Uranus, prominent in your sign. This allows the unexpected to manifest in your life, provided you can stay open to possibility. You must equally include a healthy dose of caution, so as not to go off the deep end, although either extreme is deadly to your purpose, which is nothing less than a fuller exploration of your beliefs and ideals, and of taking your place within them. Startling revelations arriving to your inquiring mind might jump-start a process for you within the depths of your psych that has long been in the offing. Home and family are a significant focus now as well, providing contrast and a jumping-off point for mystical leanings and philosophical departures. A spiritual necessity drives you; the actions you take must have a deeply felt interior component to be truly life affirming, and to result in the movement toward personal evolution that you almost unconsciously seek.

Because the recent July New Moon featured communication and learning, while the Full Moon from July 23rd took place in Aquarius, the sign that for you is associated with career and profession, as the month begins you are coming off of a period of thoughtful re-integration of external and internal commitments. A family or home situation could have come up that challenges you to reconcile some hitherto incompatible elements or symbolize an ongoing tension between your personal needs and your sense of duty coming to the forefront. You could feel pressured by a task or a responsibility at work, or perhaps a time constraint has arisen that is cramping your style. Also, your desire for comfort could clash against your ambitious goals on precisely August 1st; this is when Mercury is conjunct the Sun in Leo while opposing Saturn in Aquarius. All this tension is taking place in what we call the ‘’Fixed’’ signs, of which your sign is one. These signs, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius, are often associated with deep grooves and stubbornness that makes it more difficult in general to initiate changes, and you could be feeling the tension of the question of whether to innovate or stay the course. Things could ease off a bit on the 2nd, as Venus in Virgo trines Uranus in your sign and could potentially lead to your finding a creative way out of the dilemma perhaps by means of unexpected compromise.

The Leo New Moon comes on August 8th, and signals the beginning of a new cycle in your home and family life. The New Moon squares Uranus in your identity sector and this may emphasize your need for space at this time or you may be less willing to compromise at home or with a family member. The influence of Uranus in Taurus has been sharp for you, and continues for the next several years. This may bring an erratic influence to members of your sign so that you could feel the need to experiment and break away from anything that restricts your freedom. With the Sun and Mercury currently transiting in Leo, it this might be a good time to assess what aspects of your home life feel grounding to you.

On the 8th and 9th, also, Venus currently transiting in your creative sector opposes Neptune in Pisces. This New Moon 30-day cycle could bring an inspirational influence especially if you make time to connect with people or ideas that open up your mind to new perspectives. This stimulating influence could be channeled into a creative project or an academic pursuit.

On the 11th, Venus trines Pluto in Capricorn bringing greater awareness to significant changes that you are going through these intense days. On the 11th, also, Mercury enters the sign of Virgo where it will be transiting until the end of August. This transit can help you organize your ideas or possibly bring important dialogues to bear on a romantic scenario.

Venus, your ruler, entering Libra on the 15th continues this trend, allowing you to more greatly focus on organizational matters. Your routine should feel more fluid and productive at this time. You could however be more inclined to indulge in pleasures, so, as always, the middle course benefits you. The planet of pleasure and beauty transits in her home sign of Libra until September 10th so you may want to keep that in mind.

On the 17th and 18th, Mercury conjunct Mars in Virgo sparks your creative energy, or could perhaps bring some pressure related to children or a project. Your mind is sharp at this time allowing you to get a lot done. Your patience could also be in short supply for this brief time, or you may feel somewhat constricted or stressed.

A second Full Moon in Aquarius takes place on the 22nd, the first one having occurred 30 days ago, on July 23rd. This second Full Moon takes place just as the Sun is getting ready to exit the sign of Leo. The Moon is conjoined to Jupiter in Aquarius which may bring you clarity in regards to your aspirations by shining a bright light on the path ahead. This period of integration could come as a relief after a period of doubt or awareness of limitations. The Sun enters Virgo a few hours later joining Mercury and Mars already transiting there which brings even greater emphasis on your creativity and your contribution to your community.

Venus in Libra trine Saturn in Aquarius on the 22nd and the 23rd could bring the discipline you need to meet a deadline and a stabilizing influence for things related to your career. The third week of August may thus be all about the actualization of a goal and the work necessary to get there and you should have the resolve and focus to get things done. You may also have to guard against wishful thinking around the 24th, since Mercury in Virgo then opposes Neptune in Pisces. This aspect can be a little confusing and may also bring a mystical or inspirational influence that can be used creatively. Mercury trines Pluto in Capricorn around the same time allowing you to more greatly tap into your visionary qualities.

By the time August comes to a close, you could be hard at work perfecting the details of a project. Mercury enters Libra on the 29th, corresponding to your sector of routines and day-to-day environment. Mercury will spend an unusually long time in this sign, because of its retrograde station in late September, moving backward on into October. Mercury in Libra for the next two months could emphasize your health and habits and this time period could be your opportunity to implement new patterns into your routine.
