As the month of September arrives, you may be in a process of realizing that you want to have more fun, do what you love, and follow your creative impulses more often. These feelings can be ascribed to the Leo New Moon from early August, which brought the beginning of a new cycle in connection with your self-expression, attitude toward romance, and more extensively what defines your personal creative spark. Your desire to live a more authentic life and follow your heart is terrific for you, and also likely requires more planning than you’ve anticipated. You may find yourself very busy with the logistical details and scheduling conundrums considering your enthusiasm for many and varied projects. The Sun and Mars are currently transiting in the sign of Virgo which quite simply highlights everything that needs to be done, and there is a lot to be done.
Mars in Virgo opposing Neptune in Pisces from the 1st to the 3rd could throw a curveball, creating a degree of confusion or diffusing your focus into too many directions. This is a short-lived aspect so it might be best to take it easy and give yourself a break as the month begins. Do not feel discouraged by your lack of energy. Thankfully, Mercury in Libra trines stern Saturn in Aquarius from the 3rd to the 5th. This could bring the boost you need, perhaps arising from a partner or a friend.
The New Moon in Virgo takes place on September 6th and brings a slew of new energy. This could provide the momentum needed to get your ducks in a row. You are likely to be refining a collaboration with someone at this time, and this partnership could pay off. Note that you are bringing something innovative to the table because of prominent Uranus. Also, Venus in Libra trines Jupiter in Aquarius on the day of the New Moon, and this could help you see more clearly and optimistically into partnership considerations or discover who is on board with you. Your allies, your friendships, and your community are important at this time; the support of your peers could mean the world to you right now.
Venus enters Scorpio on the 10th – remaining for the next 30 days – highlighting your intimate collaborations and partnerships. Mars also changes signs, entering Libra on the 14th. This transit continues to accentuate your partnerships. Much of your focus mid-month could be on maintaining good rapport with others and finding compromises that work for both you and the people you love and partner with.
The Sun in Virgo opposed Neptune in Pisces on the 13th and 14th may also bring up underlying confusion or anxieties, or perhaps physical symptoms that are difficult to pinpoint. However, this may be more related to stress and circumstances than to anything serious. Virgo season tends to be a busy time of the year for you. You might want to pay attention to your level of energy and make sure to take some downtime if possible.
Your agreements and collaborations could come up mid-month as well, as Venus in Scorpio squares Saturn in Aquarius from the 15th to the 17th. This brings up obstacles; a small bump in the road could potentially derail carefully laid plans, and this is especially so if what’s expected from you or what you expect from others is not clear.
The Full Moon culminates in Pisces on September 20th, shining a foggy light on your internal landscape. After a somewhat busy few weeks, this may be time to take a breather and step back from the hustle and bustle. It therefore might be a good opportunity for a retreat or a pause from your regular schedule. If you are an artist or a creator this might be especially so. When you can tune out the noise around you, and look inside, you may be able to gain clarity in connection with your inner life and what you really need. And this could in turn shed better understanding on your current vocational trajectory.
The Fall Equinox, when the Sun enters the sign of Libra, takes place on September 22nd this year. Because the Sun is joining Mercury and Mars already moving in Libra, there is likely to be loads of relationship activity at this time. Also, Venus in Scorpio opposing Uranus in Taurus at the time of the Equinox may simultaneously highlight current changes and innovations taking place in partnerships. There could be exciting developments related to your alliances that change and cause fluctuations in your financial situation. Any way you look at it, this time of the year highlights your partnerships and the negotiation and compromises needed to make something really work.
Mercury stations retrograde in Libra on the 26th of September and will be moving retrograde for the next three weeks, then another two before finally escaping its retrograde shadow and regaining its lost Zodiacal longitude. This long transit of the Mercury Retrograde could wind up prompting you to assess the landscape of all your agreements. You might have to adjust your stance, especially if you’ve been idealizing a situation there in some fashion. This may also however be a time of deepening commitments. The way that things play out in the coming weeks depends on how well your goals and aspirations match the goals of the people you want to collaborate with. This is obviously a work in progress, deserving concentrated study as you go through the following October month.
