Leo Horoscope for October 2022

This is a month that is the aftermath of questioning your communicative outreach, Leo, and your sources of knowledge. As a result of philosophical speculations about your basis for belief, your resources, financial and otherwise, and where indeed you are heading in your life, you emerge into October with the beginnings of answers although much remains as shadowy outline, to be filled in by new experience. It is as if a newly erased etch-a-sketch pad has been handed to you, in the light of a different dawning, for you to draw upon as you will. You might feel as though starting over. You want to be current with yourself, and you will be facing the decision of how far to go in search of forming an entirely different direction to your work in the world, based on the evolving point of view of a better understanding of your deepest principles. A metamorphosis is more than possible of your sense of life mission or at least this is something that you are allowing yourself to try on. The past remains as backdrop, but all the bets are off amidst the prospect of a new conception.

The Libra New Moon that took place during the last weekend of September, on the 25th, set the stage for the thirty-day lunation cycle to follow. That cycle emphasizes the communication and learning sector of your chart and takes up the majority of October. As the month begins you might be meditating upon how there may be a connection between your ability to generate more income and how well you utilize the tools that are available to you. The month of October, for you, could have a lot to do with finding new ways to get your message and your talents out there and find the right people that could help you generate new opportunities. Your philosophical frameworks and knowledge has expanded considerably in the recent months and you might be able to start integrating your new perspectives into your everyday life. You may want more new experiences in your life and the perfect way to invite them is by connecting to the world in new ways and daring to dream bigger. If you have been rethinking your partnerships or the people you want to be around, the month of October should bring insights and more cohesion that can help you stick to your resolve.

Mercury turns direct in Virgo on the 2nd and trines Pluto in Capricorn, on the 5th through the 8th, which can help you get organized and streamline your routine to maximize your time in the weeks ahead. Mercury does take two weeks to get straightened out, moving through its “retrograde shadow” back into Libra by the 17th. Logistical issues that might have felt overly complicated can eventually get sorted out and it should be easier to know what you want to prioritize.

On the 9th, the Full Moon in Aries culminates in your vision sector which may bring invigorating perspectives or conversations with others that can help you step out of your usual framework. Your exchange with others could be heated yet enriching and it is a good time to bounce your own philosophical frameworks against different ones. A learning or travel opportunity could also be upon you or you could be nearing the end of an experience that brought you outside of your comfort zone while integrating new discoveries.

The week following the Full Moon in Aries is filled with positive traction thanks to both the Sun and Venus in Libra forming supportive aspects with Saturn in Aquarius and Mars in Gemini. There can be a tendency to go with the flow when positive aspects occur between planets. You should feel encouraged to be proactive about what you want until the 19th, as definitive progress could be made. This may occur especially if you are in the conceptual phase of a project. The host of planets in Air signs at this time offer more traction than usual especially for planning and critical thinking.

From the 18th through the 20th, a definite change of pace occurs when both the Sun and Venus in Libra come into a square with Pluto in Capricorn before Venus’s exact conjunction with the Sun on the 22nd. This moment marks the beginning of a different phase for Venus as she transitions from morning to evening star, auguring a new cycle for things pertaining to partnerships, love, beauty, and values.

The Sun and Venus enter Scorpio, on the 23rd, just as Saturn turns direct in the sign of Aquarius. This is particularly telling for members of Fixed Signs, such as you, bringing home and family concerns closer to the center of your awareness.

Continuing on the themes of change and transition, the first eclipse New Moon of the fall season takes place on October 25th, again in the sign of Scorpio, which may bring an important reset in the coming months for themes related to your home, your family and where you want to be in the world. Negotiations could be taking place in your partnerships and things that were left on hold or that felt overly complicated at the beginning of the Summer might need to get revisited before the end of the year. Jupiter re-enters Pisces on the 28th, which could bring back topics related to shared resources or intimate partnerships now and through November.

Mars turns retrograde on the 30th of October, beginning a two and half month journey backward through the sign of Gemini, which relates to your dreams and your aspirations. You may find yourself revising these in order to better align your actions with your values concerning what you want to do in the world.
