Leo Horoscope for July 2025

This is an important month for you, Leo, as revealed in the recent Cancer New Moon. This, having taken place in your sector of unconscious process and inner work, is very poignant for you, encouraging you to look within. The Cancer New Moon also featured Saturn and Neptune in conjunction, and located in your sector of higher mind, to create another focus there, so that you could this month be reviewing and considerably altering your beliefs and worldview, based on your own unique principle and values. Travel or educational plans could also be in flux. Mars, ruler of this sector, and located in your area of values and resources, is also highlighted in this important recent New Moon. In the month’s second half, Mercury retrogrades through your sign, moving backward there until after the end of July, so that questioning your very identity could be a feature of this timing. With Mars remaining in Virgo, it is possible that your attitudes toward your finances, and the material world in general, are morphing in a way that could eventually prove greatly beneficial. Relationship in your life has been in an ongoing process of transformation that becomes accelerated over the course of this month, and next. On the 17th, with the Moon’s Last Quarter and the advent of the retrograde period, you will likely feel a distinct shift. Rudhyar called this lunar phase a “crisis of consciousness,” and you could find that you are even more completely questioning and rearranging your mind in regard to your values, while your social sector is also greatly stimulated, among friendships, groups, and long-term goals that you favor. The New Moon in your sign a week later, on July 24th, is an even more powerful juncture than the previous Cancer lunation, hitting many of the same themes, and including this time your own expanding sense of identity.

You are in the window of the Cancer New Moon as you enter July, giving focus to – and an amplification around – the themes of this mysterious water sign, and your twelfth sector of unconscious process, retreat, and inner emotional healing. The recent New Moon from the last full week of June has set the stage for the thirty days that follow, well into the current month. In this New Moon, Jupiter is closely conjunct the Sun and Moon, and exalted in Cancer, so that together, these celestial entities have the potential to encourage you to escape to solitude, embrace a cathartic process of reflection and rejuvenation, or explore your own inner depths. Saturn and Neptune, closely conjunct in Aries, are also featured in this New Moon – emphasizing your sector of higher mind, educational initiatives, and foreign travel with a sort of stop and go plus a more mystical way of seeing and acting upon what you see. Saturn tends to slow things down for good reason, with lessons involved, and in this sector, this reflects pausing in your mental process around your beliefs and worldview or possible events that comport with this sector, and that benefit from altered approaches that partake as well of the spiritual realities underlying the simple 3D physical. Your social sphere is likely to be expanded in unexpected ways during July also, due to the presence of Uranus close to 0° Gemini in the recent New Moon.

With Mars in your sector of values, material assets, and self-worth throughout the month, and positively aspected in the Cancer New Moon, you might also be keen to explore and affirm your sense of purpose. A quiet inner renewal could be complimented by your resourceful instincts, and a confidence in what you can do. Therefore, you could be quietly intentional, taking space to unravel, dream, or succumb to introspection, while in possession of a dose of practicality, too.

On the 2nd, the First Quarter Moon arrives in Libra bringing a point of tension. It’s possible you could be called to connect with siblings or make closer ties in your environment, dwelling on your communication skills to get your point across, while also honoring internal processes and your unconscious growth. The ruler of Libra, Venus, is conjunct radical, unusual Uranus, both in your sector of public presence, success, and career, and also affecting your social sector. It could be apparent that your external image, attitude toward friends and groups, or job title has changed, with an unconventional path in the public eye, or a reputation that goes against certain norms or conventions. You might sense you’ve cultivated an alternative social presence that shows up when coming into contact with those around you.

Venus enters Gemini on the 4th, adding potential excitement to friendships, group affiliations or your long-term goals for the future. Your teamwork and community relations could benefit or this timing could raise your profile among the masses. On the 4th, also, Neptune stations retrograde in Aries This may affect the way you conceptualize the world, and your own beliefs, as consensus oriented, or instead largely stemming from your own internal and somewhat mystical, understanding. The broadening of your horizons could be significant, or perhaps taken as more private and internally contemplated.

Uranus then enters Gemini on July 7th. This constitutes a magical time, when the unexpected becomes more standard operating procedure, especially within your social contacts, friendships, and groups that you favor. You might find yourself going for an unusual and innovative way of thinking about future goals. Both Venus already in Gemini and Uranus newly entered harmonize with Saturn and Neptune, plus Pluto in Aquarius or your relationship sector. Transformation is in the air, and this planetary configuration can highlight a sense of unusual ideas around your networks, beliefs, and partners. In communal spaces, you might seek to be operating on behalf of a radical group of changemakers and demonstrate openness in your life philosophy or outlook. Social causes and positive wishes for mankind itself could complement your truth-seeking journey and search for meaning. Note that Uranus only spends four months in Gemini this year as he will retrograde back into Taurus on November 7th, re-entering Gemini on the 25th of April, 2026.

The Capricorn Full Moon arrives on the 10th in your sector of health, wellness, workplace environment and day-to-day events. You could feel closer to a sense of life purpose that has been gestating. It might be useful here to pause and practice acceptance of your current task load, regime, or maintenance, while also acknowledging how far you’ve come, attempting to understand what suits you. This lunar position is answering to Saturn at a standstill, ready to retrograde on the 12th, located in Aries or your ninth sector of higher thought, education, and travel. Your attitude toward foreign people or places may again be charged, as you acknowledge insights on routine matters and details that might make all the difference. You win when you look outward, hunting for what resonates, even if this means you have to re-strategize your approach.

On the 17th, the Last Quarter Moon arrives in Aries with a sextile between Venus and a stationing Mercury in your sign. The Sun is guided by the Moon in your sector of adventure, which is unusually highlighted in the direction of you exploring your life purpose in this way. This may present an opportunity to go further in the pursuit of wisdom, while reflecting, or absorbing yourself with helping and supporting others. Mercury is stationing retrograde in your sign, so that it’s perhaps a time to rethink ideas about the ways in which your identity lands among your peers.

The Sun enters your sign on the 22nd, the sign of its domicile, signaling a moment when all could be looking to you, as center of attention, as you reflect on who you truly are and the road you’re walking. This fundamentally strengthens your sense of self, your ego and identity, bringing attention and prominence to you in the spotlight for your birthday season. You will perhaps want to pay attention, with the Mercury Retrograde, on a mission to explore life from another perspective. As the Sun enters your sign, it forms an immediate sextile to Uranus, so that there might be unusual or unorthodox people that come on your radar!

The New Moon arrives in your sign on the 24th, in a lunation configuration loaded with aspects, as the Sun and Moon trine Saturn and Neptune, sextile Uranus, and oppose Pluto. You might be noticed, witnessed, or celebrated, with people in your network excited for you. Your goals, dreams, and the road to new discoveries and fresh experiences might resonate strongly with a partner, too. It’s possible, however, that you’ll come up against a powerful opponent, as the Sun spends several days around the New Moon across from Pluto. What’s more Venus is square Mars in Virgo and your money zone. This is another strong New Moon, indicating the stressful and yet spiritually rewarding final week of July and of the August month ahead.

The 31st sees the Sun conjunct Mercury in retrograde, in an evening Cazimi, almost overpowering the Mercury influence in favor of the Sun’s. This is inviting you to make your own way forward, independent of insights potentially delivered via consensus society, or your acquaintances and team members. You could be reviewing ideas and discovering what you really think, so that many people may be prepared to listen to your take.
