Just before the month of December began, the Lunar Eclipse in Gemini on November 30th brought an influx of ideas in terms of where your creative powers reside. Since you like bouncing your thoughts off other people it may have been a conversation that opened up a world of new possible projects, and you begin December still resonating with a sense of excitement. Your career direction or where you want to stir your life is on your mind since the New Moon in Scorpio from mid-November which brought a deep reset in connection with your vocational pursuits. After an honest survey of the land on which you stand, you’ve come to realize how invested and nourishing it is to have a role to play in society. It is important to you lately that you align with deep purpose and intuition in what you accomplish in the world. For example, if you are in some way fed up with the superficiality of what you are doing, you might feel a deep sense of longing for more profound commitments for doing what you love.

Mercury enters Sagittarius on December 1st which could bring up a lot of conversations and debates in the public arena. You may be intuiting that things are shifting, and it may be a good time to tie up loose ends in your social sphere before the end of the year. Your personal projects are calling, and your energy investments must be scrutinized if you are to follow some of your dreams. You may have less time for bickering or arguments, especially ideological ones. There could be a financial aspect that keeps you tied to a work commitment or it could be that one of your most important relationships indirectly influences your income. Your sense of self-worth may be closely linked to your career decisions but after a year of deep reflections, you are on the verge of a breakthrough. Venus in Scorpio trine Neptune in Pisces on the 5th and 6th which brings inspiration that could be profitable. Write down your stream of thought if you have time. They might come in handy later. Trust the feeling arising at this time without drawing hard conclusions. The Sun in Sagittarius squaring Neptune on the 9th could confuse your aims especially when it comes to any blurred lines between your involvements on a group and financial gains. It may be hard to see if something is worth your while right now but trust that things are going to gain clarity in the second half of the month.

A total Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius occurs on December 14th while in a trine with Eris and also Mars in Aries in your communications sector. This eclipse may carry with it a tide of new revelations in the following weeks. Dialogues could emerge with new information that help you see the path ahead. Venus enters Sagittarius on the 15th which brings a gentler and conciliatory influence to group dynamics. There may be a willingness to work through whatever came up in the last few weeks in order to find better cohesion. You may still have to collaborate with others so you may as well put your velvet gloves on.

The big shift for you however occurs in the second half of the month. On December 16th, Saturn re-enters Aquarius where it will remain until March 2023. It initially entered your sign on March 21st, but only stayed in Aquarius until the beginning of July before retrograding back into Capricorn. You may have intuited things to come, and the themes which first surfaced around the Spring Equinox may appear again with Saturn’s official entry into Aquarius. This ingress kicks off a two-year period where the emphasis is on your sign. This means that what you want, and how much effort you are willing to put into reaching your goals may feel even more pressing. You may have a renewed sense of purpose, and the willingness to commit. Jupiter, planet of luck and expansion, follows Saturn into your sign on the 19th where it will spend the next year. This is good news for you as Jupiter could counterbalance the rigidity of Saturn with a good dose of optimism. The future belongs to those who get up early but also the ones who are able to have faith in the future.

Mercury enters Capricorn on the 20th, followed by the Sun on the 21st signaling the Winter Solstice, or the first day of the winter season in the Northern Hemisphere. On the same day the epochal conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius takes place officially inaugurating a 200-year period when the Air element will become the focus of future Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions, every twenty years. This year their coming together will be fully visible, and you can see these two planets in the night sky along with the Moon the days leading to the Solstice event.

Finally, on December 29th the Full Moon in Cancer illuminates the skies of 2020 with a nostalgic glow. This may be a time when you need some space and quiet time to regroup. The Full Moon highlights your body, your habits, and the way you nourish, and take care of yourself. It’s a good time to take stock of what works and what doesn’t anymore while committing to taking better care of your needs in 2021.
