July begins astrologically with the Cancer New Moon of June 28th, which sets the stage for the thirty-day lunation cycle that follows, and signals the beginning of a new cycle in the health and routine sector of your chart. You may find yourself preoccupied with implementing better habits in July and focusing on daily activities that can help maximize your vitality. July could be a busy month and you could be looking for more efficient ways to do things and dealing with what puts too much pressure on you. Jupiter in Aries is featured in the New Moon by a close square, lighting up the communication sector of your chart and there may be a connection between your busy schedule and an increasing number of tasks to accomplish. You set your bar high, and you may also have to find ways to lighten up your load and give yourself time to relax and have fun. You may have to surrender the need to have everything figured out and let things flow as some things may be out of your control especially when it comes to dealing with others.

Mars in Aries also squares Pluto in Capricorn culminating on the 1st, which could highlight a tension that is difficult to locate. Stress or anxiety could be coming from an unconscious drive to succeed that, if used wisely, could help you get a lot done. Mercury in Gemini trine Saturn in your sign on the 1st and 2nd could be supportive for things in your life that need streamlining. You may have an easier time with organizational matters although a square between Mercury and Neptune on these same days could bring some confusion as well as a tendency to overestimate how much you can do.

Mars enters Taurus and Mercury enters Cancer on the 4th, shifting attention to your domestic life in the coming weeks. You could experience an increased desire to spend time at home and with the people you love.

The First Quarter Moon in Libra on July 6th could help you see the big picture in a way that allows you to gain perspectives on the areas of your life that can sometimes feel harder to reconcile. On the 7th and 8th, Venus in Gemini sextile Chiron, the Wounded Healer, in Aries could bring healing conversations as it may be easier to express your needs at this time. The second weekend of July could bring progress in your chosen field but also the awareness that you can’t do it all.

The Sun in Cancer squaring Chiron, the Wounded Healer, in the First Quarter Moon timing, and culminating on the 7th and 8th may bring your inner world and its issues closer to your awareness, hopefully with positive effect in terms of healing these issues.

The Full Moon in Capricorn arrives a few days later on July 13th, shining a light on your more unconscious drives. You may be able to gain clarity regarding what is motivating you and perhaps shed light on some of your fears around success and failures. You may come to realize that much of the burdens on your shoulder come from your own ambitious nature and that it may be time to release some of the heavier expectations you put on yourself. Saturn in Aquarius trines Venus in Gemini at the time of the Full Moon highlights your steady commitments towards the things that you love and you may be able to reap the rewards of your most recent efforts.

Mercury meets the Sun in Cancer on July 15th and 16th for a superior conjunction which is considered a clarifying aspect in astrology. This occurs in the part of your chart that relates to your health and your routine which could bring positive insights as to how you can better take care of yourself. Venus enters Cancer the next day and will continue to bring attention to this part of your life until the second week of August. Mercury and the Sun in Cancer oppose Pluto on the 18th and 19th respectively which can help you shed light on repressed emotions that are affecting your well-being. You may at times be too responsible for your own good and it could be time to let your inner child speak up if you’ve felt unheard more recently.

Mercury’s entry into Leo on the 19th and the Sun following suit on the 22nd signals the beginning of a more dynamic period especially in regards to your partnerships. The Sun in Cancer may have brought realizations around what you need to feel nourished and this may start to translate more directly into your partnerships as the Sun transits in Leo in the following month. Exciting developments with others are possible during the last week of July so don’t shy away from asking for what you need. There may be an exhilarating feeling or a sense that anything is possible thanks to Mercury in Leo coming into an exciting trine with Jupiter in Aries beginning on the 22nd. This passionate energy could be over the top if not kept in check but overall the development occurring at the end of the month could be the direct result of your persistence and your hard work.

The New Moon of July 28th takes place in your opposite sign of Leo, bringing partnership directly into the picture of the following month of August.
