The January month begins, Aries, as you continue your movement of the past three weeks toward new horizons both actual and metaphorical. You are seeking better understanding of the more ethereal facets of the world around you, and of your own hidden depths. Your values have taken on a new shine as a result, and could be morphing in the direction of trusting your own internal guidance system for everything that you need in this regard. Even though Mercury has been direct nearly this entire month, it has not entirely recovered, so that there could still be important research going on. Inward looking wins out over outward activity. You could be mulling over strange alterations in your finances, tending either up or down, or in your value system. Things shift with the advent of the Capricorn New Moon of January 11th, when you may find that what was operating fairly smoothly in the interpersonal relationship department, and with your emerging values, now becomes more difficult. Inner wounding can come to the fore to receive greater conscious recognition of your deeper parts. The good news there is that this yet also provides more lessons to be learned. Your intuition has been serving you well all this time, and you flourish by continuing to allow it to guide you.

The month of January opens with both Jupiter in Taurus and Mercury in Sagittarius featured in the recent Sagittarius New Moon, and from having just stationed direct. This is good news especially for your overall mindset for your sense of what's possible as the New Year arrives. Another astrological factor for you this month stems from the recent Sagittarius New Moon from mid-December that kicked-started a thirty-day cycle, still active in January, in the sector of your chart that relates to traveling, learning and new discoveries. This has represented a higher form of learning, taking into account your deep intuition as well as more obvious sources of information. Because Eris combined with Chiron, both in your sign, were highlighted in this recent New Moon, you might be continuing to face a sort of identity crisis where you are finding the need for discernment in plotting out where to put your energy and how to support your deepest values. Mercury being in retrograde since mid-December has had you looking more closely into a journey or a learning opportunity, with potential course corrections, continuing into the present month.
Relationship in your life is also emphasized, right at the very beginning of the month due to Venus in Sagittarius forming an aspect to expansive Jupiter as well as a square with Saturn in Pisces. You may also observe a shift in the energy toward the practical on January 13th as Mercury re-enters Capricorn and forms supportive aspects to Saturn from the 17th to the 18th, and to expansive Jupiter until the 19th. Something that may have been in the works since early December could finally start to make sense and it should be easier to see where things are heading during these final weeks of January.
On January 20th,the Sun and Pluto form their last conjunction in Capricorn before entering the sign of Aquarius almost simultaneously. As their conjunction moves into Aquarius, you may feel compelled to re-evaluate your social circles or to realize that you do not entirely resonate with a particular community or way of thinking anymore. Although you might feel a sense of disconnect for what was once familiar, these realizations could also help you take a leap of faith in a new direction that has been brewing for you.
On January 25th, the Full Moon arrives in Leo, illuminating the sector of your chart relating to your creativity, your self-expression and your personal projects. This may allow you to take stock of how far you have come. You may be able to reap the benefits of your personal work in some ways whether this is financially or through recognition. Romantic scenarios might culminate at this time, through to the end of the month, although you could feel your attention being solicited in too many directions all at once. A grand cross involving the new Nature planet, Haumea, with Jupiter in opposition, also involving the Moon, along with Sun/Pluto midpoint in early Aquarius, guarantees that the final week of the January month with be a thoughtful, transformative, and potentially confounding period.
