The rather intense month just past again yields to a May month that is more than a little wildly complex, Aries. You have bouncing around overhead – as well as within your psyche – both Saturn and Uranus, with the latter rather better at success, so that surprise events and unexpected revelations continue to be the disorder of the day, with shattering rules and precedents seemingly more likely than keeping them currently applicable. Your creativity is alive and activated, your personal identity shifts weighty and inevitable, while your relationship dynamic is certainly affected also, potentially leading you into a somewhat activist agenda that involves trusted partners. The Scorpio Full Moon of May 12th accentuates the relationship theme, with more issues of self and other being brought to the light of consciousness and reason. There is also a decidedly mystical alignment right from the month’s very start and more so in this mid-month timing. The Last Quarter Moon of May 20th highlights Uranus and its proclivity for brand new perspectives that present a stark contrast to your status quo ante. The conflict rages with no clear winner but tons of choices to fill your head and your heart and to further your process of education, evolution, and transformation.

May begins downstream from the April 27th New Moon in Taurus, which set the tone for the lunation cycle unfolding throughout the month. This New Moon carried a very intense fixed-sign T-square between Mars – your ruling planet – in Leo, Pluto in Aquarius, and the Sun and Moon. This is a forceful configuration likely activating themes around your finances, values, and sense of personal worth. With this potent New Moon taking place in this chart sector of your values, resources, and finances, you are experiencing something of a fresh start in this area, and it might be said, as well, that personal transformation is involved. It could be that what you hold to be true on the inside is being tested in some way, and that your outer actions might need to come into closer alignment with your inner principles and values. While this setup can bring pressure or disruptions, it also offers a potent opportunity to re-evaluate what abundance means to you and to reshape your material life from a place of deeper inner alignment.
Venus has returned to Aries after her retrograde journey, and from the 1st to the 2nd makes a conjunction with Neptune – also freshly arrived in your sign, opening a new ~14-year chapter in your journey of personal self-expression. This convergence activates your identity sector, opening a doorway into authenticity and spiritual embodiment. You may feel more attuned to your creative vision, your intuitive sense of style, or your longing for a more authentic, soulful existence. Venus last met Neptune while still in Pisces – and now they're meeting again in your sign, suggesting that something important could be ripening within you: perhaps a clearer sense of what you value in yourself and how you wish to connect with others from that place.
On May 4th, Pluto stations retrograde in early Aquarius, spotlighting themes of transformation and psychological depth that particularly affect your social sector. With Pluto’s strong involvement in the recent New Moon, activating this sector of friendships, communities and long-term vision for the future, this month may amplify questions around your unique place in the collective. You may wish to reflect on where you feel true resonance within your communities – and where certain group dynamics no longer reflect your values or aspirations.
Mercury enters Taurus on the 10th, further echoing the emphasis on resources, values, and your financial picture. This could be a productive time to revisit monetary plans, negotiate agreements, or bring more mindfulness to your internal dialogue around security and worth.
The Full Moon in Scorpio on May 12th delivers another wave of intensity and potential surprises or disruptions. Opposite the Sun and Uranus, this lunation highlights the terrain of shared resources, collaborations, and the depths of your psyche. Themes around giving and receiving – especially in material or energetic forms – may surface for deeper examination. There could also be intuitional realizations of great pith and moment that might help to guide you into a greater integration of inner principles and values in combination with outer persona. Inner wounding might one factor in all this, prompting acceptance, curiosity, and investigation; and this could potentially lead to improved understanding of your very depths. This is another moment of profound inner work and metamorphosis, particularly around trust, control, and vulnerability.
On May 20th, the Sun enters Gemini, inviting fresh air into the mix, and shifting the spotlight into your third sector of learning, local environment, and siblings. A mental shift may occur, one that encourages curiosity, sharing ideas, and learning.
Just four days later, on the 24th, Saturn finally enters your sign for the first time in nearly three decades! It joins Neptune there, and the two will travel to within just a quarter of a degree in July and then fade to two degrees in mid-September. This marks a powerful new cycle, one that invites you to bring a more structured approach to your spiritual and personal growth. You may experience some reality checks – moments that feel sobering or even disillusioning – that may ultimately help clarify your deeper sense of self and purpose. You may feel called to bring more definition to your aspirations, and to take concrete steps toward embodying your most inspired self. With Saturn in your sign, there’s a call to claim authority over your path – not through force, but through steady, intentional presence, self-responsibility, and a fierce kind of grace.
Another powerful juncture as the month draws to a close is the Gemini New Moon of May 26th in your third sector of communication and learning. Being conjunct Mercury, the messenger planet having entered Gemini the previous day, and in trine with transformational Pluto, this lunation energizes your mind and encourages deep inquiry. If a subject has been tugging at your awareness, this is a time to follow that thread with focus, devotion, and curiosity. There's potential here for mental transformation, perhaps through study, writing, dialogue, or simply engaging with what fascinates you most. With Saturn and Neptune forming a sextile to both Mercury and Pluto, your insights could carry a powerful sense of purpose and spiritual resonance. This moment invites you to connect your evolving worldview with your actions and decisions in a tangible way.
Overall this month carries a Plutonian undertone – deep, catalytic, and transformative. But it also brings glimmers of forward momentum, especially as Mercury, Venus, and Mars continue to recover from their retrogrades, which heavily colored the entire first quarter of the year. For you, Aries, there’s real potential to reclaim your vitality, creative drive, and spiritual direction. What emerges now may feel luminous, raw, and more authentically you. The invitation is to move with intention, to honor both depth and clarity, and to follow the trail of what feels meaningful, alive, and worthy of your fire.
