You find yourself quite purposeful in partnership bonding lately, making interpersonal bonds a significant component of evolving worldview. We tend to think of the physical world around us as already formed, and our ideas about it as more fluid, but it is actually the other way around. When you can arrive at your boldest vision for the future, the world opens up to this, and follows your lead.

The flames of transformation and evolution continue to enliven your soul and test your fortitude. The energies of May were foretold by the intense New Moon a few days prior to the month’s beginning, featuring strong presences of trickster Uranus, Mercury, and transformational Pluto. This New Moon also took place in the stable and earthy sign of Taurus; the Sun and Moon’s shared placement there signaled a new opening for you in terms of your career and offerings to the world – a stable point to center yourself within an otherwise churning and changing dynamism that continues all month. There is a particularly unique circumstance in this New Moon, because Mercury, in the depths of its retrograde journey, is returning to the same conjunction with Uranus that it was at during the previous New Moon of late March, suggesting an echoing and continuation of the themes of last month. With Mercury stationing and then recovering from its retrograde period, those same topics will be available for further reflection.

It is likely that some of these ongoing themes center around your urge for freedom. You lately possess a yearning to expand your mind into new and uncharted territory, learning new things about your own spiritual nature and the cosmos that surrounds you. There may also have been some unexpected or surprising turns of events in the past month, perhaps pleasant, or perhaps somewhat painful. If so, these shocks are here to serve you in laying to rest old stories that are no longer true for you in your essential nature, and to allow you to adopt more empowering and authentic frames and beliefs concerning yourself and the way your Soul wishes to express into the world. This is also an invitation to find new ways to create structure and adhere to your responsibilities while simultaneously reaching and stretching into the spaciousness and freedom that you also crave. It may be wise this month to listen very carefully – not just with your mind, but with your heart, and with your intuition – as to what recent striking synchronicities in your life may have been trying to communicate to you, and how to carry and integrate that message into your evolving self-conception.

There is another continued theme from the previous lunar cycle, based on Venus’ influence in conjunction with Chiron, suggesting you are still in a process involved with finding new ways of valuing yourself in terms of intimate connection with others, to include how you operate in receiving and giving love in that domain. There are likely to have been painful episodes in this area of your life in the past that have come up for review over the past month or so, with the invitation to bring your loving presence to any painful places within yourself, rather than attempting to push that pain away. This might be a time to really pause and ask yourself what habitual behaviors do continue to come up for you around sex and intimacy. There is an opportunity now to heal and shift some very old patterns, and to reach for deeper levels of compassion for yourself and others in the process.
