This is a month of wild and unexpected events, Leo, mostly fun, exciting and with spiritual proclivities abounding. It must also be recognized that transformation is a major factor for you, as well as the recognition of limitation. If you can get past this by making necessary course corrections, and provided you can stay open to possibility, you will have an amazing June. Your career is flourishing in many unusual ways, as your creativity blossoms also, including other-worldly directions that only peripherally touch on more practical considerations. Relationships simmer, and also contribute to this rather strange and wonderful flowering of your business-oriented persona. In the timing of the Summer Solstice of June 21st, while your level of excitement and set of surprising circumstances continues and even accelerates, you are likely to be slowing down in other areas, preparing to enter a more meditative period of time. Your intuition is greatly enhanced and can give you clues for navigating this almost surreal end-of-month period.

As if last month wasn’t big enough with the entrance of Uranus into Taurus in your tenth house of career, allowing a plethora of options for you there to suddenly appear, this month features the start of a long Mars retrograde in your seventh house of love and relationships! But there is more, too, so let’s look at the big transits of the month one at a time.

Between June 5th and 6th, Venus in Cancer in your twelfth house will be moving through an opposition to Pluto in Capricorn in your sixth house. There is no axis of houses in the birth chart more familiar with suffering, healing, shadows, and service than the sixth and twelfth houses. During this brief transit you are likely to be doing some very deep healing work within your relationships. It’s also a great time to explore the difference between authentic beauty and superficiality or vanity. The Venus/Pluto opposition is expert at revealing the shadows behind the shine of Venus, as well as the hidden depths within whatever we are attracted to.

At nearly the same time, between June 6th and 7th, the Sun and Mercury will be conjunct in Gemini in your eleventh house of friends, groups, and wishes, while moving into a square with Neptune in Pisces in your eighth house of death and rebirth. Are your friendships and group affiliations helping you to face your fears and limitations, or are they perpetuating an unhealthy level of denial or avoidance' These and other serious questions might be coming up right now in relation to your social circles, the groups you belong to, and your long-term goals or ideals. It’s may be to be deceived or to lose track of the truth while communicating with others, so it’s a good time to double-down on some mindfulness or meditation practices.

On June 13th, the New Moon in Gemini will also land in your eleventh house of friends, groups and dreams. At the same time, Mars will also conjoin the South Node of the Moon in the seventh house of love and relationships. Right now, you are drawing on some very deep wisdom from your past, perhaps even from past lives, to make some important changes in your relationships and social circles. Our dreams and goals can only go as far as the health and spiritual wealth of our relationships. There isn’t much we do alone in this world, or the next, and so having the right associations in our life is deeply important. At the same time, if we become too exclusive, separatist or rigid, we miss out on opportunities for learning from those who are different from ourselves. This is the mood of the planets as they move through your seventh and eleventh houses.

Between June 14th and 15th, Venus in Leo in your first house of identity, vitality, and new beginnings will square Uranus in Taurus in your tenth house of career. You are looking for the right balance now between an appropriate, and even attractive, level of self-presentation, and a progressive, or revolutionary approach to career related matters. There is an opportunity here for your natural charm and warmth to persuade others to try something brand new, or to follow your lead in a new project at work. Remember that real progress in spiritual life sometimes demands that we set aside how we look to others. Don’t be afraid to take some healthy risks or to go out on a limb with how you are expressing yourself right now!

On June 15th, Mercury in Cancer in your twelfth house will also oppose Saturn in Capricorn in your sixth house, emphasizing a somewhat serious, constrained, focused, or disciplined quality of mind and speech, and communication. This transit will also provide you with an opportunity to do the hard, focused work of personal healing, introspection, and in-depth reflection. It’s a great moment to take some time to yourself, to do some journaling, meditation, or reading of sacred texts. Listen to the subtle messages from the heart that you are receiving right now because they will give you wise instructions for the road ahead.

On June 21st the Summer Solstice lands in your twelfth house, bringing attention to the unknown parts of yourself that lie below your conscious awareness. You might be tempted to explore new directions in your career at this time, ideas that have been brewing, perhaps, or that involve the personal depth researches that you are currently engaged in. That same day, Venus in Leo in your first house of self, health, and vitality, moves into an opposition with Mars in Aquarius in the seventh house of love and relationships (the nodal axis of the Moon will be included in this opposition, too!). Expect an intense wave of sexual or creative tension in your relationships right now. Remember that whatever we think will gratify us in the moment fades with time, and usually quicker than we would like, so be careful about what impulses you follow if you are interested in the long term. At the same time, there is also an opportunity for synthesis and resolution right now in your relationships, for real healing and real listening.

June 23rd Mercury in Cancer is opposing Pluto in Capricorn from your twelfth to sixth house, once again emphasizing the importance of deep introspection, reflection, time alone, listening, hearing, and moving through hidden layers of information or communication. The truth isn’t always easy to hear, but we stand no chance of hearing it if we don’t take time out to really and truly listen.

Then on June 25th, Venus in Leo in your first house will square Jupiter in Scorpio in your fourth house of home, family, and property. It’s a bright and abundant moment for you and for your home life. You might be considering making changes to your home, and the spirit of romance, growth, and happiness is in the air right now. However, you should also be careful of extravagance or overdoing things right now, this transit will likely elevate your mood and spirit, but it’s also an transit under which anyone may be distracted by the glitter and glam.

Finally, on June 27th, just as the Full Moon comes through, Mars turns retrograde just one day prior, in your seventh house of relationship. This is the start of a long summer of examining your relationships and potentially confronting some of the shadows or difficult patterns that exist there. A partner might also be experiencing challenges or major changes over the next few months, or, alternatively, you might be meeting someone new who challenges you in a profound way. The fact that Mars is turning retrograde near the South Node of the Moon points to a deep level of wisdom arising from your past to help you address the changes that need to happen in your relationships. Remember, as a Leo, you are at your best when others are not standing in the shadow of your shine but are instead brought right into its warmth. You can also do better than to spend your time with people who are envious of your happiness, so remember not to strive after approval from those who aren’t interested in giving and sharing the love and light of higher things.
