This is another involving and evolving month for you, Leo, with an emphasis on intimacy with key partners along with shifting beliefs and worldview, another area of significant ideas and perceptions that could prove vital to your continued radical development with important others in your life. Once it is that you have at least partially weathered the storms, through the agency of connection with the Other, this all ultimately leads you back into yourself and your own personal evolution. The lunations of the recent mid-March New Moon, in late Pisces, when Mercury was also in retrograde, together with the April 1st Full Moon in Libra and the mid-April late Aries New Moon, are all quite powerful lunations affecting your ninth sector of higher mind, beliefs, and worldview. This Aries sector becomes more fully featured in the late Aries New Moon of the 17th. This powerful New Moon features a huge stellium of eight planets in Aries, counting Sun and Moon, along with new 21st century planet Eris. The sign of Aries additionally corresponds to travel or educational initiatives. All these areas are potentially stimulated and receive a burst of fresh energy in the month’s second half. Because, in the New Moon timing, the Sun, Moon, and Eris are all conjunct Chiron, the Wounded Healer, there is a possibility that you will make progress in April with inner wounding that you are attempting to better understand. These are usually the residue of undigested childhood trauma and may have been walled away from your day-to-day functioning conscious self for many years now, waiting for you to be ready. That Eris is involved here is consequential, because, as an archetype of the Feminine Warrior, Eris represents a powerful connection to soul and to life purpose; and this is where you are, in all finality, truly headed. There can be great benefit in acknowledging and giving loving acceptance to the lost and lonely hurt places within you, as you can come to this. While not easy, nor without pain and sorrow, this kind of easing of inward tensions can prove extremely rewarding and help you toward better integration and greater authenticity in your developmental process.

Previous New Moon in late Pisces – March 18th
The recent New Moon in late Pisces continues to activate your eighth sector of psychological depths, shared resources, and sexuality, as well as your ninth sector of personal beliefs, worldview, education and travel — encouraging you to nurture the seeds recently planted in these areas. Clarity gained around such subjects, lasting through the month’s first half, may now be helping you make new choices regarding how you handle crisis, intimacy, and your shadow side. Partnership agreements might also come up. As you’re also acclimating to Saturn and Neptune moving through your ninth sector or higher mind sector, developments involving your travel status, religious beliefs, or perspective on the world at large may shift status or feel more significant. Uranus was closely aspected by the recent New Moon, implying that through April’s first two weeks if not longer, surprise events and unexpected revelations continue to be the order of the day.
Full Moon in Libra – April 1st
The Full Moon in Libra shines brightly in your third sector of local environment, mental processes, communication, and personal rituals! Under this lunation, you gravitate towards conversing with your community, relating to your neighbors and extended family. The Moon may be reminding you that personal development doesn’t always require traveling or an in-depth exploration of your beliefs – instead growth can be found right in your backyard, and in daily practice. This Full Moon could also draw you toward new educational opportunities, as you feel especially cerebral and curious now. With Jupiter squaring the Moon and trining Mercury, emotions could run high, although communicating these or your opinions should feel easeful.
Sun Square Jupiter – April 3rd - 7th
As the exalted Sun and equally exalted Jupiter come to a square between your ninth and twelfth sectors – so your more conscious beliefs and perceptions versus unconscious process – a damaging internal belief could be favorably shifted due to this peak within your inner work journey! A world event may open your heart to compassion or sacrifice and you could find that spiritual solitude or perhaps the very act of forgiveness is greatly aiding your life now. These are all positive and possible manifestations, although you may need to be wary of overdoing. You could lose your audience by preaching your beliefs, or perhaps find yourself using solitude as escape and over-sacrificing.
Mars Enters Aries and Conjuncts Neptune – April 9th - 14th
Mars starts its five-week long transit through Aries, one of its home signs, with a twist: Mars’ signature urgency and action-oriented energy is immediately complicated by an encounter with mystical Neptune! You might feel that traveling, learning, or teaching becomes a spacey, confusing, or draining experience during this conjunction. Your own way of seeing the world could also be shifting toward the other-dimensional or synchronistic, and this transit might give you a boost in that direction. Mars with Neptune could be encouraging you to take spiritual action or deepen spiritual studies.
Sun Conjunct Eris and Chiron – April 14th - 17th
As the Sun conjuncts Chiron and Eris in your ninth sector of higher mind, wounds that stem from religious or educational backgrounds could be illuminated by the bold Aries Sun. Perhaps in the past your beliefs differed from your culture’s so that loneliness formed within you… or you were the only one of your religious background in a new place and experienced ostracization. Taking ancient trauma into the present, you have the chance to work with this inner wounding by giving acceptance and love to the hurt places within you. Eris’ presence can enhance discomfort or rage, but at the same time she helpfully encourages transforming the pain into power.
Mercury Enters Aries and Conjuncts Neptune – April 14th - 17th
Mercury in Aries provokes direct conversations within your educational environments, sharing bold opinions about your beliefs and executing spontaneous travel plans! But at first, this logical planet of thought and communication must meet dreamy and disorienting Neptune. Logistics might become confused and you could struggle to understand your current studies. On the other hand, mystical studies and pursuits are highly supported as Neptune can help you intuitively digest complex spiritual thought.
New Moon in Aries – April 17th
The Aries New Moon forms in late Aries within your ninth sector, perhaps also affecting your tenth sector of public life, career, and reputation. The conjunction of Sun and Moon to Chiron could indicate heightened sensitivities regarding your beliefs or education, offering a chance for usually dormant emotional pain to become clarified, acknowledged, and eventually soothed. There is a large stellium in Aries consisting of eight planets, counting Eris, and this could indicate the complexity of what is currently going on for you in terms of new knowledge and surprising novel perspectives. You might feel especially tender, emotionally defensive, or reactive under this Mars-ruled lunation – and the purifying fire of this Aries New Moon could tend to support bold emotional expressions and heroic action as well! Facing vulnerabilities about your public status or career accomplishments could be another theme worthy of recognition. If some ancient wound gets triggered, regardless of what kind, by acknowledging what is going on deep inside, you might ultimately feel empowered to embrace and renew your most personal and individually unique beliefs, outlook on the world, and true goals.
Mercury Conjunct Mars and Saturn – April 18th – 22nd
The recent Neptune-induced brain fog may clear somewhat as this triple conjunction forms – switching mental gears to increase focus on hard work, dedication and accomplishment. However, Mars and Saturn are also considered malefic planets and may bring delays to educational spaces, travels or even within the realm of publishing. If you are slowed down with highlighted Saturn, there are also valuable lessons there to benefit from. More positively, you could confront and push through limits within your mind fighting any delays with persistence. Ultimately, while this stop-and-go energy can test your patience, it can show you what you value and willing to wait for.
Sun Enters Taurus – April 19th
As the Sun enters Taurus, one of the most sensitive and impactful sectors of your chart comes into greater focus – your tenth sector of career, authority and public image. Your awareness around professional goals and responsibilities is greatly enhanced and may take precedence now. The solar energy can assist you in feeling more confident about your professional abilities, perhaps resulting in recognition.
Venus Conjunct Uranus – April 21st – 23rd
Since March 30th, Venus has been happily transiting through Taurus, within your tenth sector – supporting harmonious energy between you and authorities and indicating that this transit may require you to bond and compromise with others. During this short-lived alignment to Uranus, you could find novel or unexpected viewpoints stimulated, or as well a bit of chaos or restlessness may find its way into your professional or public life. You could be itching for a change as far as your career responsibilities or structure, so that you wind up reveling in more freedom or autonomy in vocational matters to creatively express yourself.
First Quarter Moon in Leo and Venus Enters Gemini – April 23rd
This First Quarter Moon in your sign forms a tense T-square with the Sun and Pluto, sparking friction between you, your partnerships, and your vocational aspirations. Pluto’s long-term presence in your relationship sector highlights a deep need to transform partnership connections or gain self-control and personal power within relationships. Simultaneously, Venus enters your eleventh sector of hopes and collective vision. This is a fantastic time to prioritize connecting with people who champion your future vision and shared goals.
Uranus Enters Gemini – April 25th
New developments within your eleventh sector of community involvement and future vision may begin to surface as Uranus settles into Gemini! Now, Uranus is done revolutionizing your tenth sector of public life and career – which in turn, makes you ready to begin upgrading your long-term goals by exploring new possibilities. The professional turbulence and public image renovation you experienced, provided by Uranus in Taurus, built the foundation from which you can now creatively express! You may feel inspired to be more innovative and think outside the box as you craft new dreams for your future – and you may begin to feel differently about friends, groups you favor, and all of humanity!
