This month is a rather intense series of trials and triumphs, Pisces, depending on how things go. Your very sense of identity and evolving self-concept is up for you, testing your openness and ability to accept shifts in your beliefs and in your worldview. Home and family concerns are another focus now, to include family of origin and the potential for inner wounding to come up for review and healing. Your future plans are equally in flux, as you seek a better alignment with emerging values, and this involves a renewed dedication to serving communal organizations and friendships to which you feel most closely connected. With the ongoing retrogrades of personal planets, by mid-month you are re-thinking to some extent your relationship dynamics as well as certain aspects of your creative self-expression, which feeds them. The solstice eclipse New Moon of June 20th is quite a powerful juncture, giving you a burst of personal energy at both surface levels and down deep inside you, bringing some of these issues to closure and exacerbating others.
The following was written by our resident monthly columnist Elodie St-Onge-Aubut of Ninth House Astrology
You are thinking a lot about where you want to be these days. As the state of the world changes, the home and family is for you taking on a new meaning. In a crisis situation things come into focus and tend to realign. The things that mattered only a few months ago became irrelevant, while things that were formerly taken for granted suddenly seem essential. Venus retrograde in Gemini for the last few weeks has brought up issues at home – or in your intimate partnerships – that have felt irreconcilable. Venus in Gemini conjoins the Sun on June 3rd as part of her retrograde cycle, helping you gain clarity on a complicated matter. Things might not be entirely resolved but a heart-to-heart conversation will appease your anxiety and help you make a decision.
The Full Moon in Sagittarius taking place on June 5th is the first eclipse on the Sagittarius-Gemini axis since the Nodes of the Moon have changed signs. This penumbral lunar eclipse in mid-Sagittarius therefore stimulates your career and vocational house and prompts you to reevaluate your direction. An element of dissatisfaction is starting to be felt. This lunar eclipse in Sagittarius ignites a process that will take you all the way to the end of 2021. This might not be totally visible until the solar eclipse in Sagittarius at the end of this year. A process of realignment is taking place in connection with your career direction. Jupiter retrograde in Capricorn rules this Sagittarius eclipse emphasizing the role, and responsibilities you have recently acquired in your field. It could feel like the options available to you are limited at the moment. You might feel a sense of duty permeating your life as if you have to put your head down, and accept the burdens that are being put on your shoulders. This is of course not entirely true but the unease you are experiencing is pointing at bigger issues.
The Sun squares Mars and then Neptune in your sign during the second week of June, highlighting the recent distinctions between your personal desires and your responsibilities at home. A situation could feel tense leading up to the Last Quarter Moon in Pisces on the late evening of June 12th. Negotiating with others is complicated while your urge for independence takes over. Mars and Neptune conjoined in your sign could also bring the idealization of a circumstance, or a person. It’s a great time for work that involves your imagination but it is not so great if you need a completely clear head to approach a particular situation. With Mercury stationing retrograde in Cancer on the late evening of June 17th, lasting until July 12th, your best bet is to wait it out and think it through.
The Sun enters the sign of Cancer on June 20th signalling the beginning of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. A few hours later a solar eclipse occurs when the Moon enters Cancer and meets with the Sun. This annular solar eclipse is the last one in Cancer from a series that began in July 2018. This solar eclipse is a potent one as it sits at the zero degree point of Cancer, related to your creativity and your self-expression. A project that took place in the last two years might culminate in the next month. In the last two years, you have gained lucidity in connection with the powers of creation. A process of reflection, perhaps related to children, or a romantic scenario, creativity, or pleasure, is coming to an end. You are now in a better place to know what you want in these matters. Mercury retrogrades in Cancer until mid-July, which will help you to integrate these realizations.
Venus in Gemini finally stations direct on the late evening of June 24th after being retrograde since May 13th. Things on the home front will start to make sense gradually. You might not be able to make a decision quite yet, but things are likely to feel less urgent.
Mars leaves your sign and enters Aries on June 27th, initiating a six-month transit in your financial sector. Mars in Aries will bring a powerful focus on money, or perhaps a desire for more autonomy. There could also be a change of priorities being felt surrounding what it means to be self-sufficient, with Mars influencing your values.
The traditional ruler of Pisces, Jupiter, conjoins Pluto in Capricorn for a second time on June 30th. The earlier conjunction, on April 4th, initiated a new cycle related to the work you do in your community. This current conjunction happens while both Jupiter and Pluto are moving retrograde in Capricorn, inviting you to revisit recent decisions related to a friendship, or a group of people. You could feel over-burdened by your roles and question your engagements, leading to a transformation in this area. At the end of the month, your attention might turn to your private life with less energy for social obligations.
