This is another very lively and transformative month for you, Pisces. Your inner world sems to be coming further to the fore as outer activities yield to a necessary combination of ingredients that majorly include what you intuitively know from deep within your psyche. The recent New Moon from the last full week of July has an amazingly dense collection of tight outer planet aspects that includes your ruler, Neptune, in combination with Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto, which brings up matters of your own sense of true identity and future direction. The New Moon itself was positioned in Leo or your sector of day-to-day events and environments, which Dane Rudhyar also called “Your discipleship to your higher Self.” This latter characterization is relevant now, when amidst the introspection and questioning of the Mercury Retrograde period taking place in this same sector, you are attempting to get to the real truth on yourself and your situation. And this must include these internal matters. Change is inherently scary, and it is now very real for you, so that there is little benefit in ducking. When you begin by accepting that change for you is now inevitable you have made a good start on this month’s evolutionary progress. The Full Moon of August 9th also speaks to this idea of internal forces at play due to its accompanying grand trine in the Water houses of your solar chart. The implication here is that a process of intuition will be key, as described as well in the character of your fanciful and compassionate sign. This area of better understanding what is going on for you below the surface is an important one for this monthly cycle; keeping a dream journal by your bed to record your nighttime dreams is therefore a good idea now. Since Mars resides in your intimacy sector there are also implications for your passion and love life after the 9th. Your true mission over the course of an intense month is to more completely inhabit your authentic self as it is currently evolving.

The recent New Moon in Leo from the last week in July has set the tone for August, stimulating your focus on your sixth sector of health, wellness and workplace environments. The Leo lunation cycle runs for thirty days though the first three weeks of August. In the chart, This New Moon features an exact opposition from Pluto in Aquarius, making this a powerfully transformational lunation. You might have that focus on day-to-day lifestyle practices, routine maintenance, your physical constitution and what you do to keep on top of things physically and might also find a deep awareness of alternative healing modalities. You are also aware of the transformational pressure on your area of dream imagination, unconscious process, and inner work, which could be psychologically helpful as well as transformative, so that you might find yourself caught up in their therapeutic nature.
Mercury is also in retrograde motion as August begins, in this same sector as the recent New Moon, lasting nearly the entire month when you take the two-week post-retrograde period into account. Your sector of day-to-day environment, health regimens, and workplace environment is thus also subject to questioning and review, perhaps alteration, as old habits you’ve outgrown might need to be discarded. Your core values, responsibilities in your role, and an evolving sense of security could factor too, with an awakening around your family situation, property, or nurturing style, as the New Moon additionally features a trine to Saturn and Neptune in Aries, or your second sector of personal resources, and a sextile to Uranus in Gemini at the base of your chart. Your private foundations, ancestry or parenting, internal reflections, and what you do that’s worthwhile could influence your fresh start. Additionally, with Venus square Mars during the New Moon, household goings on are perhaps to be navigated within key partnerships, or one-to-one dynamics, also.
On Friday, August 1st, you have the First Quarter Scorpio Moon, during which pleasure-loving Venus in Cancer is square Saturn and Neptune, underscoring your earnings and self-worth. There may be a fun connection that calls, encouraging you to take an inspired leap of faith. However, the contrasts of work and playdates are to be considered, and you might find you’re choosing to do what’s conservative and practical, building on your assets and lucrative plans, rather than indulging in creative, happy moments, adventures, or experiences that expand your heart.
On August 6th, Mars enters Libra and your sector of intimacy, pacts, contracts and trusted agreements, where it forms a trine to Uranus, an opposition to Saturn and Neptune, and a trine to Pluto. Around this planetary ingress, and the grand trine that is created in the sky, there is the distinct possibility of careless passion and exuberance leading, potentially, to untoward events or even accidents.
The Aquarius Full Moon lands on the 9th, illuminating your twelfth sector of dreams, subconscious patterns, and hidden agendas. This could prove an ideal time to exhale deeply, letting go, and revealing ways to surrender to a regeneration, rebirth, or selfless side of you. The same grand trine between Mars, Uranus, and Pluto in Air signs is active in this Full Moon configuration, so that passionate excess remains possible. You might find you’re paying attention to what’s shared, combined or a joint effort, with the prospect of a mutually beneficial arrangement impacting or even challenging your perception of your personal value. As you become aware of the input of a partner, and how you might collaborate or depend on them, you’re perhaps also finding attention is directed to your solo contribution and attributes, what you give or make, including financially. A shake up at home, or radical changes to your residence, an inner transformation and ongoing shifts within could be prominent.
Mercury stations direct in Leo between the 10th and 11th of August. At this time Saturn is sextile Uranus, and Venus is conjunct Jupiter. It’s perhaps a good idea to pause for thought in domestic matters, your habits, organization, or in managing your wellbeing and duties, as the topic of healthy living begins to stabilize. Your resources, input, income or contribution could be meaningful, as adjustments are made in familial spaces, your property, or household conditions. The way you make a living could seem reliable even if your foundations are not. There may be proof you’re usefully employed or have clarity around best practice. It could be an extra special moment for passion projects, your happiness, performance, and talents, too. Your fertility, children or sexuality may be amplified, with close friends encouraging you to appreciate and enjoy life.
The Last Quarter Taurus Moon takes place on the 15th in your sector of siblings, learning and local environments, in mutual reception with Venus. This could find you leaning into your surrounding environment, engaging with a celebration, or communicating creatively to express your desires. During this lunar phase, Mercury connects to Mars in a sextile, perhaps giving you a way to contextualize and manage important commitments, having taken time to make sense of your daily rhythms, showing consistency in employment or everyday settings. Notice where you’re able to be of service, or how you’re able to delegate to trusted parties, letting others pick up the cheque – or prove what they can do. It may become apparent you can lean on other people, as you maintain order.
The Sun enters Virgo on the 22nd corresponding to your seventh sector of relationship, initiating a Virgo season of engagement with your relationship connection or involved with an emphasis on the key partners in your life.
The Virgo New Moon ensues late this same evening PT, or early morning the next day of the 23rd he east coast or Europe. This New Moon opens with the Sun and Moon in their conjunctions at the immediate focal point of a yod, or “Finger of God” pattern, Saturn and Neptune are sextile Pluto, forming the base of the yod, and indicating another dramatic lunation cycle for the remainder of the month and on into September. This New Moon is somewhat dicey, with transformational evolution in the air and a touch of rebellion. This timing also makes for a fresh start around relationship issues generally. Marriage partners, best friends, important unions and artistic collaborations are now emphasized, which could feel both joyful and intense. You might turn over a new leaf, approaching your significant other with romance, tenderness or enthusiasm. Your finances, and imaginative inner processes could impact this fresh start, and you might also consider life under your roof, sudden changes at home or controversy in your family dynamic, and how this affects your partnerships.
