The New Moon from late last month that kicked off the current May cycle featured your ruler, Venus, making some rather intense and potentially difficult connections with other planetary energies. You could have been feeling stuck in some ways lately, and yet, with determination, you find that you can make it through. Difficulties breed character. Your intuition is extremely powerful now, and you find that you contain universes within you. Your feelings of emotional security seem to depend on these inner realities fully as much as the world of schedules and ledgers. All that is going on presents a significant opening to further explore what is below the surface of ordinary awareness, a precious gift that allows you to ultimately become more whole.

This May cycle begins with a fascinating New Moon in your own sign of Taurus, just a few days prior to the first of the month. This lunar cycle echoes the previous one, with similar themes arising for continued reflection and retrospection. If April was a bolt of lightning, shining light and shaking up your world, then this month is when you are putting the pieces back together, in time. You encountered unexpected events, and big movements in your subconscious and dream realms, and these are being mirrored now, asking for your attention and commitment to more fully integrate the new insights and epiphanies into your life. The Universe is asking you to step into a new aspect of your Being, and that may require some very close listening to synchronicity, and to your intuition, which is heightened now. This current stretch of your journey is probably not as accessible through rational logic, and therefore you may do well to cultivate other ways of sensing and navigating this terrain, through things like astrology, tarot, or simply paying more attention to synchronistic cues and messages. There’s a certain way that life is stirring you up in order for new information to sneak in through the side door of your mind, and when you least expect it. Perhaps last month you were surprised and shocked by what was bubbling up from the deep inner stretches of your psyche, so that this month affords a very special opportunity to harvest and weave whatever downloads present themselves into your more conscious sense of self.

Your ruling planet, Venus, just beginning to recover some of her lost ground from the recent retrograde journey, is still making a conjunction with Chiron, the Wounded Healer, at the time of the recent New Moon. This suggests that over these past few weeks there could have been painful realizations occurring around feelings of belonging in this world, or concerning your sense of value and worth in the larger context of society. Yet Chiron represents not just the wound, but also that which has been healed and the healer – the whole spectrum of the healing process. There could be external forces prompting you to hold your ground around any recent developments in terms of your self-worth, and to hone your commitment to honor yourself in your inherent value. In showing yourself new levels of love and respect, you may also gain a deeper sense of security and safety, especially in the realms of intimacy and relationship to others.

The Scorpio Full Moon of May 10th brings relationship issues into sharp focus, cresting into a potent conversation around self versus other, and the way that you are showing up in partnership. You could also find yourself with some juicy opportunities arising in terms of finance, with an extra bit of belly fire to increase your cash flow. This could come through partnership interaction. You could also feel more deeply into your own yearning for the experience of interconnection with spirit and the consciousness coursing through all beings, and come to a new understanding of how to weave that more into your felt experience. This month of May will offer you much to consider and contemplate. With positivity you can find stability amidst the tumult, and inner peace even as you shed what is outworn and outmoded.
