This is another wild and crazy month for you, Taurus. Your overt communication and social connections are sizzling, and yet, there are plenty of clues as well from beneath the surface layers of your psyche, that also inform – providing you are open to them – your articulations and your focus. Your moves are thus being guided by both conscious and unconscious sources. In the month’s introspective second half, with Mercury in retrograde motion, you might discover that the mystical side is winning out, when you can gather yourself to look into it. The recent Cancer New Moon from late June was extremely potent and has set the stage for most of July. Your sector of communication and learning is now central to an important fresh start in your vocation, goals, and evolving worldview. Pluto well-aspected at the top of your chart signals the ongoing transformation of your career and professional life. The holiday on the 4th might be about relationships for you, and coming to the truth of the matter, while the Full Moon of the 10th could serve as culmination of some of these storylines and makes manifest the ways in which your most fundamental beliefs are changing with these intense times. When the Last Quarter Moon arrives on Thursday, July 17th, along with Mercury’s station to backward motion, your inner process is making itself even further known as an important life factor, which you gain by trusting. Not everything bubbling up from within is easy to look at, although all of it is consequential, and very useful for your evolutionary journey, in which you are currently giving birth to your most authentic self.
The following was written by our guest columnist, Kimberly Peta Dewhirst. You can find her at Star Sign Style.
As you enter July, you are in the window of the thirty-day lunation cycle initiated by the recent Cancer New Moon giving focus to – and an amplification around – the themes of this sensitive water sign, and your third sector of communications, siblings, curiosity, learning, and neighborly environments. Jupiter is closely conjunct the Sun and Moon, plus exalted in Cancer, and this monthly cycle thus offers the potential for major connective experiences, a development of your ideas, cognition, or a refreshed association to those around you. Because Saturn and Neptune in conjunction and in your previous sign of Aries – your sector of unconscious process and inner work – are also highlighted in this New Moon, being square, while transformational Pluto at the top of your solar chart is also in close aspect to the Sun, Moon, and Jupiter, there are major alterations potentially in store for you during the first two thirds of the month, up to the 24th, with the prospect as well for a deep dive into your own interior world and your nighttime dreams. This month might therefore be an excellent time for journaling.
Mars, planet of passion, in your house of creative self-expression, in New Moon chart is sextile the New Moon. Therefore, you might be keen to put heart and energy into plans that call for emotional intelligence, and a skilled approach. A major new beginning could be in motion, which expands on personal relations, your mindset and voice – so that it’s possible you’re growing your ability to convey what you think and feel, with the most beloved people or cherished interests a motivating factor.
On the 2nd, the First Quarter Moon lands in Libra, your sector of health regimens and day-to-day environment and experience, calling attention towards healthy habits, your workplace and general admin, upkeep, or maintenance issues. Yet this is a point of tension within your newly expanding skillset and sense of connectivity. Your planetary ruler Venus is conjunct Uranus at this time at the tail end of your zodiac sign, which could bring great attention to radical changes you’ve made in your personal life and being. You might be tuned in to experiences liberating you, or upheaval around your identity and purpose, now gaining awareness of how much you’ve altered the essence of who you are. Your job or daily operations could benefit from adjustments made.
Venus then enters Gemini on the 4th, or your second house of values, money and contribution, which could offer you the potential to sort things out in your inner principles and resources, including prized personal assets. Venus finds connection with Neptune and Saturn in Aries in a sextile and forms a trine to Pluto in Aquarius in your zone of career, public profile, personal and professional accomplishments, bringing transformational significance to all these areas including your values, as well as your finances, which are likely now altering. What’s more, on this day also, Neptune stations retrograde in your sector of dream imagination and inner work. A quietly evolving dynamic may be leading you to a potent introspective or solitary state, with dreams stirring and intentional healing apparent. There could be ultimate alteration in internal understanding, outer image, and practical ways of being.
Uranus enters Gemini on July 7th, co-present there with Venus, in your resources sector. Strange events and surprise information could be associated with this ingress, affecting finances or the way you conceptualize your relationship to the material world. Upon entering Gemini, Uranus finds harmony with Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto, mirroring the aspects made by Venus a few days ago. There might be an awakening around your approach to money, your values, or a shake-up in your perception of what you might gain, possess, or build, and changes around spending, saving or accumulating rewards. A recovery process, catharsis, or retreat could prove impactful for you now, so that you’re aware of what you’re striving for that in turn influences the material, your vocational interests, ambitions, or reputation. Uranus will spend a four-month window in the early degrees of this sign, retrograding back into your sign on November 7th. Uranus will re-enter Gemini, co-incidentally once again following in the footsteps of Venus, on April 25th of next year.
On the 10th, the Full Moon in Capricorn illuminates your sector of higher mind, long-distance travel, wisdom, the exotic, and personal development. It might be important to note progress made in setting up abroad or understanding a specialism, another belief system perspective, or your own faith, while also acknowledging a path of least resistance you’re trying to be walking. The Full Moon answers to Saturn in Aries and your sector of your unconscious, so you’re perhaps led to acknowledge a dream state, processes of inner healing or selfless sacrifice. Saturn is at a standstill, getting ready to retrograde on the 12th, so you could be firming up internal work undertaken in secret or behind the scenes, taking some space from the crowd, while still being aware of how far you’ve come.
On the 17th, The Last Quarter Aries Moon arrives, during which Mercury is stationing retrograde in Leo or your sector of family and home life, with a sextile to Venus. You might find you’re paying attention and listening to a call from deep within, disconnecting and aligning with a path not everyone sees. It’s perhaps important to find space to decompress, pause and address where you stand, literally or figuratively, aware of your financial position, or remembering the job you take pleasure in – including in domestic spaces. Your family dynamic could be the subject of introspective inquiry or reversals, and there is also your family of origin and the potential for inner wounding, likely based on early childhood trauma, to become more noticeable, the prelude to healing.
The Sun enters its domicile sign Leo on the 22nd, appearing resplendent for you in warm domicile settings as outlined above. This is your area of roots and foundations, and of settling down in your zone of ancestry, origins, safety and nurturing.
The Leo New Moon arrives on the 24th, plugging into the slow-moving planets as it trines Saturn and Neptune, sextiles Uranus, and opposes Pluto. Here, you might bring further awareness to your property, parenting, household, or security issues, with additional process going on unconsciously. Transitions are underway within you and also for ways that are not out of sight for those under your roof or as close as family. Your capacity to earn or make a contribution could be made more apparent, yet it’s possible your public image, external profile or career trajectory don’t sit easily with what’s going on at home, in accord with the opposition to Pluto in this New Moon chart. Additionally, your ruler Venus is square Mars in Virgo; the role you’re upholding might not be easy, given your circumstances, kids, loved ones, or passions that are also to be considered.
As July comes to its end, you might find you’re re-focusing on ways to be secure, nurturing, and stable. The 31st sees the Sun form a conjunction to Mercury Retrograde, highlighting your sense of your own inner world, and the introspective of the ongoing retrograde, lasting all the way to August 24th when you take the two-week post-retrograde shadow period into account.
