Your month is a dramatic one, Capricorn, although it gets better when you can be flexible and adjust quickly to changing circumstances. You are transforming in your very identity and the way that you interact with the world around you, and you can choose to go along quietly or else resist and suffer by trying to stick with your status quo. Sooner or later the universe will have its way with you. Over these past weeks and months, sudden realizations have been coming at you from an unusual source, namely your own inner knowing, and this process continues and even accelerates into the present monthly cycle. This is an introspective time, with inner planet retrogrades, and with highlighted activity in your home and family sector. One clue to your present set of changes is that you are being gently urged to look to the inside for answers to questions that can be resolved in no other way.

Your April contains gems of tremendous potential for your brilliance and evolution, with an overlay of tension and dynamism that is continuing to stretch you to your edges. The astrological lunar cycle for April began with the Aries New Moon just a few days prior to the start of the month on the March 27th. The configurations of this lunation suggest this month is very much about your relationships with your family, or your ideas and beliefs about home – which might pertain to your current situation, or possibly could relate back to your family of origin and the formative experiences there. There could be new truths emerging in your awareness. It is indicated that as things inside you are getting shaken up, the metaphoric sediment that becomes unearthed will need some time and tending to settle, before the gifts from these experiences can be harnessed and integrated. There are certainly antithetical and dynamic energies this month – loads of push/pull, stop/go, expand/contract. It may be wise for you, now, to do your best in laying down any attachments you hold to particular outcomes or ways of being. Life and the Universe are asking you to trust in your path forward, and supply a deep listening. As the 13th century scholar and poet Rumi once wrote: “As you start to walk on the way, the way appears.”

There is still much shifting and transforming in your sense of self and identity, as will likely continue for some time with Pluto currently in your sign. This process, now, is linked to your re-evaluation of family matters, particularly what you value and prioritize in terms of relationship to family and home, and what your reflections on this subject are helping you to better understand about yourself. Capricorn’s gifts often lay in your ruling planet’s medicine: Saturn’s principle of structure and planning. Saturn is currently traveling through Sagittarius, which suggests that perhaps your sense of boundAries and structure, upon which you rely heavily to navigate life, is appearing in a much more subtle and, paradoxically, mutable form right now. Perhaps the foundational structures you crave are actually presenting themselves in a more etheric form. You can imagine and feel that there’s an invisible energetic container holding you, but it is not as tangible as you, perhaps, are accustomed to. Saturn’s current placement also indicates that there’s a beautiful opportunity to begin to sift through unconscious material in the effort of understanding how your family of origin shaped the foundation of your personality, and how this material can be integrated in terms of your higher ideals calling you forth as an adult.

Venus is in retrograde until April 15th, overlapping with the Mercury Retrograde beginning on the 9th. These configurations, again, bring more awareness in a meditative introspective way toward home and family concerns. This time is about re-doing and re-examining, and might best be utilized to re-arrange and clean out your home, physically and energetically, and to clean out your closets – both the tangible kind, and the ones that exist inside of your psyche! After the 9th it is not the best time to look for a new place to live, or to purchase, or start any new home projects. The idea is to wrap up any loose threads that can become aware of; finishing projects that are already started, re-evaluating roles in the home and who is responsible for what, and perhaps most importantly of all, look inwardly at what your contribution is offering to the whole situation.

The Libra Full Moon of April 10th continues on similar themes, but there is an added dimension of emotional material arising for you to confront and navigate with as much mindfulness and focus as possible, namely much new, expansive potential in the realms of your career and contributions in the world around you. For these potentials to have the chance of emerging smoothly, however, could rely heavily upon your ability and willingness to dispassionately be with any wounding and anger that arises within you. There might be old pain and stories around your relationship to authority, or perhaps around your relationship with your parents. Whatever bubbles to the surface is invoking your fierce creativity and innovative spirit to see beyond the current circumstance, taking a gaze under the hood of your unconscious process into how these very circumstances could be calling you forth to a more full, brilliant, and authentic version of yourself. You come out ahead when you can surrender to the idea that the Universe has a plan for you, and as much as you might think you’re in control, life and the Mystery are always carrying you onward in ways you never imagined. Follow your emotional resonance down inside yourself wherever you can find gratitude, hope, and love. You can allow these threads to lead you into offering yourself up in true service to the world, so that you may continue to blossom into the true brilliance of your soul’s expression.
