You are all for getting ahead and making your mark, and your creative energy is sizzling, but the retrograde of Mercury continues to pull you to the inside, as does the deep placement of your ruler, Saturn. You have an imaginative and somewhat confusing communication style these days, which over the past several weeks has enabled you to get right to the heart of the matter, no matter how painful, and you will want to keep what you have gleaned from these experiences as you continue to explore what lies below the superficial surface regions of your psyche. A basic instability at the core continues into the present cycle, which nevertheless permits you a depth of intuition into your most ch Erished values, and these are vitally important to hang onto. You may be somewhat at sea regarding emotional stability, although these feelings of lack of security dwindle as the month continues to unfold.

The seismic shifts in the foundations of your life continue to tremor and quake into this month. With the intensity of April’s astrology in the rear-view mirror you have quite a lot to think about. As you review the past as a means to finding your way forward into a brighter future, the current astrological patternings are asking you to find ways to weave together your inherent need for structure along with your yearnings for liberation that are also likely amplified during this time. It may be wise to allow yourself lots of wiggle room for new explorations and innovations, as the path for new ideas to emerge is not linear, but meanders here and there, spiraling through the mystery before it can land concretely in manifest form. The New Moon in Taurus that took place a few days prior to the first of the month indicates a powerful persistence of Uranian themes of surprising circumstances, flash insights, and heightened intuition. Mercury, still in retrograde at the time of the April 26th event, was found within a degree of a conjunction with Uranus, moving backwards, while a week later Mercury, as it stations direct, makes a one-degree forming conjunction from the other side. All together, Mercury remains in close conjunction with Uranus for nearly three weeks, from the last week of April to mid-May. The placement of the Taurus New Moon also suggests new openings during the current month for you to call upon your creative expression as a resource.

It is interesting to note that the positioning of retrograde Mercury conjoining Uranus during this Taurus New Moon is nearly identical to the placement of these two planets a month prior during the Aries New Moon of late March. As you emerge from the Mercury Retrograde period over the course of May, this signals that whatever was shaken up in your life or environment in the past month may continue to need your full attention in order to glean and harvest the lessons that are present for you therein.

Your awareness is called most dramatically to your home environment, or perhaps to how your formative experiences in your family of origin continue to shape who you are today. Members of your sign tend to be most at ease with a feeling of containment, within which it seems simpler to maintain a sense of systemization and order. With Uranus shaking up your world, you could also be having strong urges for freedom from responsibilities and duties. This could show you where you have perhaps become too rigid around your expectations, habituations, or need for control. On the other hand, a creative amalgam can be forged. You may benefit by exploring ways that your penchant for creating systems and structures can actually inform and encourage the blossoming expression of your most authentic self.

Around the time of the Scorpio Full Moon of May 10th, the influence of mighty, transformative Pluto will be keenly felt. This tiny but astrologically powerful planet has been traveling through your sign since 2008, and will continue until 2024. This Full Moon may signal an amplification in the process of your evolving sense of self, especially as it pertains to the areas of life where community and creativity are involved. You may feel a peaking of energy in the area of your goals and dreams, as something new emerges into your awareness around your unique path in relationship to the greater community that surrounds you. There is also indication that your sense of vitality and ambition will be positively influenced by the inherent faith that you have in your process, as you can muster it. You may wish to meditate on inviting in abundance.
