As the month begins, you are still operating in the afterglow of the New Moon in your sign from mid-December. That gave you tremendous focus on how you show up in the world, your very identity, continuing into the current month. Because Trickster Uranus was also emphasized in this recent New Moon, there has like been an ongoing disruption of your daily routines, which could be undergoing a process of revision. The Sagittarius lunation cycle that was initiated at this mid-December timing still has ten days to run, and because Mercury has been retrograde in your sign as well, you have likely been in an introspective mode which will also continue into the first few weeks of January, until Mercury regains its lost zodiacal ground. Mercury stations direct on the 1st , in your sign, and while standing dead still in the sky will exhibit all the usual symptoms of the retrograde period, the missed communications, mechanical breakdowns, and the potential for consider alternate futures for yourself and your plans. Mercury will start to regain momentum in the next few weeks which can help sort out your priorities, and will entirely escape its retrograde shadow on January 20th.

Venus entered your sign at the end of December and forms a square with Saturn in Pisces on the 1st. Your desire for easy breezy relations could be met with some resistance and it could be that you are not able to relate with others fully at this time. You may feel some distance between you and your loved ones. This may also be a good opportunity to show up and put in the effort needed to make something work.

The Capricorn New Moon takes place on January 11th in the sector of your chart that has to do with your personal resources, your autonomy, and your values. This New Moon receives a trine from Uranus in Taurus which is currently transiting in the part of your chart that relates to your health, your habits and more extensively your work routine. This is a good time to set intentions around reducing stressors in your life and being more mindful about the pressure you put on yourself to succeed. Even micro-adjustments to your habits could make a huge difference this month allowing you more time to focus on what you want as opposed to what you think you should be doing.
