This month represents another in a series of intense lunation cycles, Virgo, having begun with the very potent New Moon from the final week of April. Your understanding of the world around you is subtly altering, and this includes relationship with important others, and perhaps most significantly, yourself. The past few weeks have brought you tons of insights, and as this continues over the first half of May, your task for the remainder of the month is to begin to integrate the information and the awareness that you have been able to glean. There is an expansive feeling about what most deeply moves you, while you have been dealing with issues of old wounding arising from partnership interaction and re-evaluating its impact upon your life. You are making inroads on establishing a mission statement for yourself, and ongoing workplace or career decisions based upon it, that enables the full spectrum of your values to be involved.

The month of May brings with it a continuation of the wild journey of April, with a bit more grounding and structure that might help to stabilize all of the dynamic swirling energy of the current massive transformation that’s happening at both individual and collective levels. The stage for the current lunar cycle was set by the New Moon in earthy Taurus, just a few days prior to the first of the month. The placement of the New Moon suggests that for you, this month could be about expanding into an area of learning that is in service of your highest good. It is also indicated that this can be an area where you might find resource and anchoring, whenever the energetic weather feels extra intense or unpredictable. With your ruler, Mercury, finally straightening out, the issues from the past month of the Mercury Retrograde cycle will come up once more for more concrete resolution. This is additionally symbolized by a very unique astrological occurrence: at the time of this recent Taurus New Moon, Mercury, in the depths of its retrograde cycle, conjoins heavy hitting trickster and revolutionary Uranus, and it was in a nearly identical configuration a month prior at the time of the Aries New Moon. Whatever urges for freedom, flash insights, or shake-ups that occurred for you in April – possibly around themes of intimate connection – will continue into the present monthly cycle for further contemplation, and integration. You are working out how structure and security plays a balancing role in ultimately providing you with the freedom and spaciousness that you need, even regarding your ways of partnership interaction.
The Scorpio Full Moon of May 10th brings a whopping dose of transformational energy into the picture, with Pluto emphasized, and you may be called to ask yourself what stories may need to fall away in the service of you coming into a more full and authentic creative expression of yourself. Where your mental constructs are stuck in old patterns, changes might be necessary no matter how difficult they might seem, in order that you fully emerge into your unique brilliance. You may find an extra boost of belly fire that will serve to lift yourself out of the narrow trenches of habitual patterning, and float up into a broader perspective of yourself and the world. There is an element of your spiritual evolution that is asking you to call upon the sharpness of your intellect in combination with the power of your instinct and intuition. The way forward may require deep listening. When the going gets tough, you can lean into your creativity, and your fundamental and uniquely individual desire to help create your vision of a more beautiful and balanced world. The Universe has a request in, for you to find your most sincere inner purpose in order to transform and cultivate your essence beyond merely worldly agendas, and for each step that you take in faith upon that journey, the road will rise to meet your feet. As the medieval spiritual poet Rumi once wrote: “As you start to walk on the way, the way appears.”
