This month is a time of communication, curiosity, and learning, Gemini, in the midst of trial. Because Saturn is strongly activated, this month and next, in your intimacy sector, you are on a pause, emotionally, that might turn out to be productive of new insights. There is a movement within you that wants to set the world on fire, moving off in new directions, and yet there is also a factor of wait-and-see that stymies this inner mandate. Everything hinges on making sense of your deepest values, and this takes time, especially when the stakes are so high. You are getting to know your inner world, piece by shining piece, and if you have any reservations about this course of action, this is the time to dispel them in favor of a rich exploration of all that your hold inside. The second half of September continues the quest, with even greater urgency, so that you might just have to get used to the idea that the true goal is the journey itself.

You are currently enthused by all manner of communication, curiosity, and learning. This is a graceful energy for you, which helps to offset the trials of a somewhat difficult month. With the Full Moon at the very begging of September you are also captured by your home projects, and may be busy upgrading your living quarters. Virgo season is bringing the motivation you need to tidy up, and organize your space. You want everything to be functional, and you have the energy to do so. For the last few weeks you’ve been busy running errands, answering emails, and tackling everything on your to-do list. Family or siblings could also feature prominently while important conversations are taking place at home. Shared resources and shared responsibilities need delicate handling at the moment. It’s a good time to delineate clearly what you are willing to do, and what might not be yours to take on. You could end up with too much on your plate.
The September 1st Full Moon in Pisces in your vocational sector also is likely bringing clarity regarding your career direction. Uranus in Taurus is in a supportive sextile with the Full Moon which helps you with the push you need to get off the beaten path. You want to trace your own unique trajectory. You may have many financial obligations, but the North Node transiting in Gemini for the next year offers favorable circumstances to rewrite your story. It's all about finding the right balance between opportunities and responsibilities.
On September 4th and September 5th the Moon travels in Aries, in your social sector, meeting Chiron and then Mars. There is building tension, and this could play out at work or in your community. Mercury enters Libra on September 5th, stimulating your creativity, and Venus enters Leo on September 6th, increasing the frequency and intensity of your conversations. Mercury in Libra is concerned with keeping the peace and making sure others agree while Venus in Leo is loud and proud. You can expect a lot of back-and-forth discussion at this time weighing the pros and cons of the current state of the world. Venus in Leo in your third house highlights your propensity to get passionately engaged when talking about something you care about. Mercury in Libra on the other hand will help you stay diplomatic in all your dealings. Expect to be challenged by circumstances at this time but rest assured that you currently have everything in your toolbox to handle the trickiest conversations with tact.
The much-anticipated Mars retrograde in Aries begins on September 9th. Mars will be moving retrograde until November 13th, and perhaps bringing taxing circumstances throughout this period. For you, Gemini, this could mostly play out in your community, and the groups you participate in. Patience will perhaps be in short supply. It’s best to stay away from arguments whenever possible, as these could escalate much quicker than usual or bring exaggerated reactions.
Some confusion at home or at work is possible around the 10th to the 12th when the Sun in Virgo opposes Neptune in Pisces. You may be forced to take a decision but the situation could feel unclear. You could be feeling burdened by what is being asked of you at this time, like you are sacrificing, especially if you are financially bound to an agreement.
Luckily, your ruling planet, Mercury, transiting in Libra helps you get creative, and playful this month. If you can find the right balance between pleasure and duty, the second week of September offers opportunities to let loose. You might also find that you are more aware of inner wounding, with Mercury opposing Chiron from the 9th to the 10th, and this can lead you further along on the road to healing these issues.
The New Moon in Virgo on the 17th provides a fresh start on home and family, but could also accentuate the tension in connection with aspects of your home life. It is time to set new intentions regarding your role within your family, and what you feel is your duty. The urge to branch out on your own, and gain more independence, will likely continue to increase, so you are wise to keep that in mind. It’s important to set your stance in connection with what others are expecting from you. Ask yourself if you may be sacrificing too much of your comfort for the sake of others, and make adjustments. Even if your desire to help is genuine, remember, too, that other people are responsible for themselves; you cannot carry the burden for someone else.
The Sun enters Libra on September 22nd signalling the first day of fall in the Northern Hemisphere and spring in the Southern Hemisphere. The Sun in Libra for the next month emphasizes romance, pleasure, children and your personal projects. There are some bumpy aspects during the week of September 21st, mainly Mercury in Libra squaring Saturn in Capricorn while opposing Mars retrograde in Aries. Communication can feel tense or you may be thwarted by others. Mercury entering Scorpio on the 27th will help you shift your attention on the essential.
Saturn stationing direct in Capricorn, on the late evening of the 28th, while squaring Mars retrograde in Aries, colors the end of September. This aspect between Mars and Saturn already occurred once on August 24th, so you may start to feel familiar themes coming up that this aspect is again bringing. A combination of factors could be outside of your control. It’s best to adopt a patient and strategic attitude to get through these last few days of the month.
