Mercury escapes its retrograde shadow by the 24th of the month, so that it gradually becomes easier to make long-lasting decisions. In the early going of its forward motion, Mercury also conjuncts transformational Pluto, creating a degree of stress for you from the 10th to the 16th, as well as opportunities for personal growth. Relationship question marks are also on your mind throughout February, and issues of intimacy come to a head by mid-month, in the timing of the Leo Full Moon of the 16th, leading to a more thoughtful reassessment. All along, a profound process of intuition is your best friend, balancing the pure logic of your habitual approach with the deeper wisdom of the body and the less conscious parts of your psyche. This inner work also unlocks a new and more vibrant form of creativity that takes you far; have patience for what is dawning within you.

This past year, you may have invested time and energy in broadening your horizons through an educational journey or the mastery of a particular field of expertise. The Aquarius New Moon at the very beginning of February signals the start of a new cycle related to these areas of education and your philosophical framework. This month, as signaled by the New Moon being conjunct Saturn in this higher mind sector of your chart brings a powerful incentive for deepening your knowledge. The incredible thing about learning is that the more you know, the more you realize that there is always more to learn. It might be a good time to sign up for a class that helps refine your understanding of a particular philosophical system. The square from the New Moon to Uranus in Taurus also highlights the importance of observing your own inner workings in order to integrate your more unconscious motivations. It might not be enough to adhere to certain philosophical frameworks that help you explain and rationalize human nature. You may also have to explore the depth of your psyche before you are able to fully integrate what you’ve been studying. There may be a lot of big questions with no simple answers this month. You might just have to sit with the fact that not everything can be explained through reason alone; turning your attention inward might be required to find what you’re looking for.
Mercury stations direct in Capricorn in this first week of the month, on the 3rd, and this might start to bring clarity for things related to your intimate partnerships and shared resources that have been on your mind since the end of the year. Mercury does take a few weeks to fully straighten out. Your professional success at this time could also be partly due to the support coming from a business or an intimate partnership. Mars in Capricorn sextiles Jupiter in Pisces from the 3rd to the 5th and this could bring an awareness of the benefits coming to you from shared resources. Mercury conjunct Pluto in Capricorn on the 10th and 11th could bring up negotiations that have been in the works for some time. There may be an element of control or power struggle in partnerships now that makes things harder to deal with but the opportunity for clarification is also possible at this time. Things that were kept hidden or secret could be revealed and it could be a good time to clear the air.
Mercury re-enters Aquarius on the 14th helping you eventually gain traction on some issues that have been lingering, especially for educational and philosophical pursuits. Travel could also be on your mind and something that was delayed or put on pause at the beginning of January might now be seen in a new light or become more possible.
The Full Moon on the 16th culminates in the sign of Leo which highlights how well you’ve integrated what you’ve been learning. Verbal and written communication could be emphasized. In the days following the to the Full Moon you may be asked to teach something that you know. Mars and Venus are in close conjunction now and through March 12th, so that your relationship journey and dynamic could also be put to the test in interesting ways, lasting through the final half of the month. You could be put in the spotlight and it’s a good time to demonstrate to the world and to important partners what you have recently mastered. Learning and teaching are strongly highlighted for you now and you may want to jump at any opportunities to do so.
With Venus and Mars closely conjunct in the sign of Capricorn from February 14th onward, for the remainder of February, you might feel more passionate and protective of the people that you love and you may have to temper your basic drives for security manifesting at this time.
The Sun enters the Water sign of Pisces on the 18th which also signals the last thirty days of winter in the Northern Hemisphere. The Sun in Pisces emphasizes your professional life and you may find yourself increasingly busy with your career in the following weeks. You may be driven by strong ideals and you may be more inclined to focus your energy on a humanitarian cause that can help others.
The last full week of February is colored by Venus and Mars in Capricorn, still within a degree of each other, coming into a harmonious sextile with Neptune in Pisces. This casts an inspiring yet idealistic influence on your goals and your place in the world. You may be driven by something beyond yourself at this time but it may feel harder to direct your energy efficiently. Neptune colors the last week of February with a hopeful energy but also the idealization of something that may not be entirely real. It’s a good time to check in again with the reasons behind your motivations, especially if there are unacknowledged fears creating underlying anxieties. You may come to realize that by healing yourself you also heal the world and that these two are not exclusive of each other.
