You are coming into a strange and energizing time, Libra, which continues to morph and evolve as the month unfolds. This is about developing your self-expression in a manner that actively promotes service to others around you as a fundamental part of your process. You are far more private than public now, concerned with inner realities that shape your world from below, while wrestling with attaining a better understanding of your relationship dynamic. Your evolving values lead you through kaleidoscopic changes in the way that you connect with partners. Later, these themes intensify, punctuated by Mercury’s retrograde station on the 22nd, in conjunction with Venus, your ruler. Your nature is to partner, and this chimes as well with your core values right now. The final week of March is likely to be contemplative. The trick that you are attempting is taking your intentional combining to a new level that supports an idealized or a spiritual approach to your mission of service.

The month of March begins with a Full Moon in your twelfth house. You might need some time to be alone right now, or time to contemplate or process a certain amount of confusion or difficult emotions to start the month. Remember, “All those who wander are not lost.”
On March 4th the Sun and Neptune conjoin in Pisces, therefore in your sixth house, while Mercury and Venus also conjoin in Pisces. The sixth house is traditionally associated with suffering and misfortune, as well as service work. You may find that you are being given a variety of opportunities to serve others this month, or you may find that you are personally seeking capable helpers or healers for your own personal needs. Either way, there is a great opportunity to become kinder, wiser, and even healthier this month with four planets traveling through Pisces and your sixth house.
Late March 5th into early March 6th Mercury will cross into Aries and on March 6th Venus will also enter Aries, both moving into your seventh house of relationships. There is the potential for inspiration, fire, and combustibility in relationships this month but also the possibility for misunderstanding and power struggles. As the diplomat of the zodiac, it’s not as natural for you to enjoy confrontation and conflict, but to the degree that you purposefully avoid conflicts that need to happen in your relationship you may also miss some beautiful opportunities for growth.
Between late in the evening of March 10th through March 13th, Mercury and Venus in Aries in your seventh house will be moving through square aspects to Saturn in Capricorn in your fourth house. Relationship stability is a requirement now and not easily met. The issues you are facing in relationship this month may also boil down to issues related to your home, property, or parents and family in general. You might also find yourself thinking about core principles or values and what role your values should play in your relationships. Some things simply aren’t worth compromising, but it’s not always easy to know which fights are worth fighting.
On March 17th you encounter the New Moon in late Pisces, thus in your sixth house, giving you a fresh start I matters such as workplace concerns, sickness and health, and service to others. You may very well feel a renewed sense of mission, as the sixth house has also been referred to as the house of discipleship to your higher self. Additionally, Mars enters Capricorn and moves into your fourth house, marking a period that may highlight hard work, duty, and devotion to a creative mission or project in the home. It’s also a good time for looking into the history of conflict within your family. Sometimes the fights we are fighting began long ago. The more we understand the history of our conflicts the easier it is to fight today’s fights with intelligence and compassion.
March 20th marks the Spring Equinox, at which time the Sun goes into Aries, therefore moving into your seventh house, signaling the dawning of the light half of the year. The Sun is exalted in Aries, and hence the advent of spring is catalyzing you to change, to boldly face your fears, and to push into the subjects you aren’t as comfortable with, especially those surrounding your relationships.
Next, on March 23rd Venus in Aries in your seventh house squares Pluto in Capricorn in your fourth, while Mercury also turns retrograde in Aries in your seventh house. This is a time of great transformation and change and once again the house of marriage and relationships is highlighted. As a child of Venus (Libra is ruled by Venus) it’s important to remember that relationships aren’t only meant for beauty, happiness, and the fulfillment of our desires. Relationships are also meant to help us grow, learn, and evolve as spiritual beings, and the reality is that this kind of growth regularly involves suffering and hard work. There is always an upside in terms of character building and partnership longevity. The trick is to recognize that even these seemingly “dark” experiences are replete with beauty… if we only have eyes to see it!
On March 28th Venus briefly conjoins Uranus in Aries in your seventh house. Here we see your ruler, the planet of love and relationships conjoin with the planet of the rebel and the innovator in the house of relationships. You may be called to think outside of the box or to come up with innovative solutions to complex relationship challenges or demands. Don’t be surprised if your inner rebel or child needs to act out, or if your friends or lovers are asking more of you than what you might be ready for. You may also be romantically captured by someone or something that is quite different than what you’re used to.
Finally, on March 31st it’s a Full Moon in Libra in your first house. You are still quite fully invested in relationship, although after a somewhat challenging month working in this area, the spotlight now transfers back to a balance point prioritizing YOU, and your own personal plans, values, goals, and calling in life. It’s difficult for you to think of or put yourself first because you are so naturally inclined to create harmony in the world by aligning with others, but right now it’s time to take care of yourself first. Just remember, you aren’t going to be effective at creating any kind of lasting peace in the world if you don’t know yourself and if you don’t know how to care for your own needs.
