This is another big month for you, Virgo, with implications for how you see yourself and your life purpose. There is loads of energy for doing, and for reviewing, everything regarding your work in the world and how well it reflects your most profound values. You have spent much of the previous month with Mercury, your ruler, moving backward through your sign, and this implies a questioning of your very sense of identity. Your beliefs and principles are similarly a focus of review, reconsideration, and reassessment in the early part of this current month. Mercury goes direct on October 2nd, in the timing of the Moon’s First Quarter, and this will be one strong moment what has been a powerful retrograde period; partnership matters, and the questions keep coming. Over the next two weeks, as Mercury re-enters Libra and regains its lost ground, things will slowly straighten out. After the 17th, another powerful juncture, you will feel ready to begin anew. The Scorpio New Moon that takes you through the final week of the month speaks to you about articulating to others – or journaling to yourself – your deepest and most sincere plans for a more integrated future.

The Libra New Moon from September 25th signaled the beginning of a new lunation cycle, lasting thirty days, in the part of your chart that relates to your resources and your values. This will therefore be a big theme in the weeks ahead. Mercury still in retrograde in your sign this New Moon configuration colors the first three weeks of your month somewhat, with questioning what you are up to and who you really are. Your questions might have involved your surroundings and your desire for material security. Although financial autonomy may be an important focus with the Sun now transiting in Libra, you might also spend more time negotiating contracts and agreements with others this month. Your desire for collaborations could be highlighted and you may spend time finetuning your partnerships so that both parties can be satisfied. Communicating your expectations clearly with others should be easier this month, and could ensure that you actually get your needs met. You might be able to get what you want without overthinking it and the secret could lie in staying flexible with others while prioritizing your needs and your personal trajectory.
Mercury has been retrograde in your sign causing a great deal of introspective questioning, and turns direct on October 2nd, which could eventually bring the traction and clarity needed to get moving on things that were progressing slowly during previous weeks. Mercury still takes a period of two weeks to get past its retrograde shadow and will slowly regain its normal presentation over this time. The October 2nd Last Quarter Moon with Mercury standing still in the sky constitutes an important juncture when relationships are brought more greatly into focus as well as the transformations within you that might be needed in order to more greatly facilitate their progress.
On October 9th, the Aries Full Moon lands in the sector of your cart associated with issues of intimacy and partnership agreements. You are also getting in closer touch with yourself at deep levels. This timing could highlight a conflict or tension with someone and it also might be your opportunity to express your frustrations in order to clear the air. You may also be at a point in your life when you need to take a leap of faith. However, you might have to wrestle with some anxieties surrounding your sense of autonomy in a particular matter. You could have to make small adjustments before proceeding further with an idea, and the days following the Full Moon might feel clarifying in terms of what needs to happen next.
The week of October 9th that follows could be extremely productive thanks to the Full Moon and a host of supportive aspects taking place between the Sun and Venus with both Saturn in Aquarius and Mars in Gemini. Things might be coming together nicely, especially in relation to your material situation or a vocational trajectory you have been working towards. You may be able to take a few important steps towards your goals at this time and you should start to see the results of your past efforts bearing fruit.
From the 18th through the 20th, some doubts surrounding your worth, your self-expression or your contribution to the world may arise as both the Sun and Venus in Libra square Pluto in Capricorn. This may have more to do with your past self, the one you are leaving behind, than who you are becoming as you prepare to take a leap towards the unknown.
Both the Sun and Venus come into a conjunction in Libra, exact on the 22nd, and ingress together into the sign of Scorpio on the 23rd. This exciting beginning to the Scorpio Season might highlight your skills and all that you have learned up to this point in a particularly poignant way. You may be experiencing a synthesis of sorts, especially as it relates to your expertise and your talents.
The New Moon in Scorpio on October 25th is a partial Solar Eclipse, taking place in the part of your chart that relates to what you know and what feels familiar to you. An important reset could be taking place at this time. One that is pulling you out of your comfort zone and into foreign territory. Mars in Gemini rules the Scorpio Eclipse and is stationing retrograde at this time, emphasizing a new vocational trajectory or your place in the world. Perhaps this will include the logistical details necessary in the coming weeks for you to follow this new path. Jupiter re-enters the sign of Pisces on the 28th where it was transiting earlier this year and may have you revisit a partnership scenario or the way you think about them in the coming weeks.
The end of the month, featuring a Mars station retrograde on the 30th, in your career sector, is definitely dynamic. Everything that is more abstractly conceptualized during the first half of October will start to take on more tangible forms towards the end of the month. You might still have to close a few doors or rework the details of your engagements at this time, but more decisive currents blow through the end of October.
